Golden Palace Chinese Buffet

"It's not the shiniest of places but the food is, well, golden haha!! I love it! I haven't tried the buffet so I can't speak as to what that's like, I usually order ahead and my food has always been perfect and delicious. I don't really stray from my favorites, sweet orange chicken (they actuallyonly have spicy orange chicken on their menu, but always take care of me and make it without any of the spiciness), sesame chicken, and my all-time favorite, pork fried rice, which I can't find anywhere else. Not that I'd want to. The location is great for us, it's about three minutes away and so easy to order ahead and pick up and then we have an amazing lunch or dinner. Even my four-year-old daughter loves it. When we drive up she starts yelling "rice! rice! rice! rice!" I've never received a bad order, not once. I am so glad that they're there! /"

"The egg roll smelled rotten when I broke it open. Had lots of space to sit people but was sat right around other people, would have been better it they sat people at least a couple tables away. They were very pleasant though. Also think the names of the food could have been more able to be read."

"Went into the experience with an open mind with all the mixed reviews for this place. The staff was friendly and we got a table right away at 6pm. Went to the bathroom first and it was nasty. There were a couple dishes that were pretty good. We enjoyed the pineapple chicken and the fried doughnuts. The mushroom pork was pretty good as well. Most of the dishes looked like they hadn’t been stirred for a while and some were only lukewarm. The meats in the dishes we had were also tough. I love Chinese food so I really wish I could have left a good review but honestly it wasn’t great."

"This is our "go-to" place for Chinese in Cedar Rapids/Marion. The food is ALWAYS great and served hot & fresh. We usually get here about the time they open for lunch cuz it does get pretty busy. The restaurant could use a little updating and a face-lift. The food is too good here to have an out of date/worn decor. They do offer a discount to military, Veterans, and first responders. Definitely stop here if you're looking for great Chinese food."

"I have been going to this restaurant for many years. The food is great, the people & staff always remember our drink orders since we're regulars, the atmosphere is a classic chinese diner and while other reviews whine and complain, I find this place amazing for their buffet prices. Never had a bad visit in all the years me & my husband have been going here. Great for families, couples or a quick bite."
