"This is my second time here. The first time the lady behind the bar took my drink order and ignored me for the next 20 minutes. This time was different. Had a breakfast sandwich which was peanut butter, banana, fried egg and bacon between two pieces of French toast. So, if your not concerned about your health and you want something different, this is a different something. Service was fantastic."

"EXCELLENT meals for both wife and I at Portermill inside the Des Moines International Airport. Wife had cheeseburger and fries, I had the Chicken Taco salad. (pics of both.) Our waitress was Lakiesha, and she greeted us with a smile and took care of us in fine fashion. Yeah folks, this place can be VERY busy during peak times. Arrive early, be patient, and enjoy yourself."

"One of the two actual restaurants in the airport. I ordered the Iowan sandwich (fried pork tenderloin, ham and cheese) which came with fries. It came out pretty quick. Good but a little greasy. The tenderloin was lacking in seasoning - eat with lots of mustard. Prices were fair for an airport ($15)."

"Started off with a cranberry juice which was good but super sweet with way too much sugar. The cheese curds were amazing however they took probably over 30 minutes just to get. Which is ridiculous considering the place wasn't nearly that busy, which is why the low rating because the service was below par for the amount of customers in here. I watched the waitress a handful of times and she would just wonder around aimlessly or stand there not doing anything at times. Never coming back to check on our drinks except when our order was delivered, never brought us napkins. I also watched her deliver the wrong food to a table, and then give the wrong check to a different table. So it wasn't just us she was messing up. This is why you don't hire tweakers. Not to mention the airport alarm was going off for about 5 minutes only to find out from the managers that there is a malfunction in the security system. Therefore only the 2 star rating for atmosphere"
