Pleasant Hill Diner

"Stopped here for dinner one night and it was a mixed experience. My guest and I were seated immediately and our server was fairly quick getting our drink order and served. The water is most likely unfiltered tap water and surprisingly the iced tea had less flavor than the water. The dinner menu is incredibly limited so if you're looking for more options, this probably isn't the diner for you. Our server came and got our orders and the food came out quickly. Our orders were plated nicely, but the ingredients used are not of the best quality and the dishes tasted as such. The french fries and onion rings were pretty good and it was evident that they change their oil regularly. The Reuben was tasty, but a slightly larger portion of corned beef would have helped tremendously. The chicken sandwich was not enjoyable at all, the pickles had no crisp and the brine they used is just sour, nothing else. The chicken fillet itself was slightly rubbery, flavorless and the lettuce was a little soggy. The restaurant itself has the classic nostalgic diner look to it and it could be kept a little cleaner albeit I visited an hour or 2 before closing. Parking is spacious and the service was good. Not much on the value scale as the portions were slightly under when compared to price. In the end it's just your average diner."

"Our breakfasts were great! The hashbrowns reminded us of Waffle House! The service was fast and friendly. I don’t love to look at ads of businesses on the table. That really the only thing I would change! We will be back."

"Took my wife and 4 kids out to eat. Had to wait 15 min for them to clean a table off when they weren’t that busy being there was empty booths. We just kept getting stared at by them. Instead of having good customer service and making us a priority they sat other parties who hadn’t waited as long as us. We’ve ate here for years but I don’t think will be going back. The pancakes are dinner size pancakes. Our young kids usually don’t finish their meal so we had to share but it’s almost like they made the pancakes a lot smaller. We tried to order four in the beginning but we’re told it’s cheaper to just get the three. And then we were up charged for getting extra plates. That sounds greedy because when we asked the workers said that’s on the owner. It’s for when people try to share a meal."

"When my granddaughter and I travel, mostly to dog shows, we always like to eat at local restaurants. I told her to look for a diner for breakfast. We ended up at the Pleasant Hill Diner which was perfect! The breakfast was just what we were looking for at a reasonable price. Staff was friendly and efficient. Décor was great, enjoyed the music, exactly what you think a diner should look like."
