"I never give reviews. Especially negative ones. But I'm making an exception here. I've had so many negative experiences at the Truckee Post Office over the years, but I've always tried to keep in mind that they're understaffed, underpayed, and are dealing with a flawed system. But the woman with the bob haircut was so aggressively hostile and nasty to me the other day, that I am going out of my way to mention it publicly. She raised her voice, and escalated the conversation so fast I was so caught off guard. And she straight up lied saying that as an Amazon customer I can specify what shipper they send my orders with. It's completely false. Trust me I have tried asking Amazon not ship USPS, and I've asked UPS/FedEx not to drop off at the post office... what are we supposed to do? This is a government service payed for by our taxes... yikes."

"When you buy in Amazon you don't know what courier company they will use. If USPS is the one selected by Amazon you will not know until the shipment has been made. USPS will not bother to deliver any package to my community in Truckee. Other courier companies will do it, but USPS. I have informed Amazon of this issue so they reconsider the way they deliver packages in this location."

"Though I had trouble getting a hold of this branch over the phone, they explained in person issues they are having and that they have a plan and are working on it. I did not deal with management or a supervisor, I dealt with a front desk clerk. They get four stars because I witnessed this clerk at the front be consistently kind and helpful even when dealing with aggravated customers. Kind and patient customer service go a long way. I do hope they can overcome the real challenges that others are reporting though so that people can see what a wonderful team they have here."

"They actually don't deliver anything but small items. They take items from UPS (that are supposed to be delivered) and put them in the back room and report that your mailbox is to small. I have called dozens of times and they have never answered. Please report them to regional postmasters as they take money for delivering and just make you pick them up. Shameful. I contacted Amazon to not use USPS and for any packages at my address. I recommend you so the same."

"I'm really not a one star review type guy, but the fact that I'm the 79th person to give a one star review is enough proof that there is fundamentally something wrong with the management at this post office. It feels incredibly disorganized. It's a complete wild card walking in. You never know what you're going to get. Be patient and hope for the best, but do yourself a favor and lower your expectations so you don't feel upset when they can't find your package after you've waited for twenty minutes in line. I sincerely hope for better days!!"
