Reviews
"This company is absolutely terrible do not recommend, the way they are very disrespectful and rude to customers is enough to see why they have a low rating, even talking down to those who leave reviews. Instead of trying to make things right and truly address concerns they treat you horribly. They claim to do military moves but treated a veteran and family with complete disregard for the amount of money spent. My wife and I were sent this company through a broker for our move across the country. The two who showed up to pick up our items acted very cordial until the end after everything was loaded and said the cost was going to be double what we knew we were expecting to pay because of it taking up more space than was relayed to them. While this left my wife and I with a bad taste in our mouths, what were we going to do? Have them unload and still get charged? So we said OK and moved forward. Among the information that wasn't relayed to them was the fact that we would need a weight receipt due to this being a military move. So my wife and I had called their office, spoke to someone who helped ease our concern, stating they do military moves all the time and would make sure we got a weight receipt. During our drive across the country we were contacted regarding payment, again we ask about the weight receipt and are reassured that we will have one. We arrive at our new destination and call to see about an estimated date of delivery, all we are told is that it can take up to 21 business days because that's how long they're allowed. Second bad taste left from this company. A few days before the end of the time allowed, we get a call stating they have a driver who had picked up our things and would be delivering soon, no further information. Delivery day, the driver says it's going to cost extra because of him not being able to pull his truck through and needed to rent a UHaul, doesn't know anything about a weight receipt when asked and told me to contact the office, which again leaves a bad taste. As our things begin to be delivered, we see crushed box after crushed box, water damage on boxes, water damage on furniture, a couple pieces completely broken. Absolutely terrible handling of our things but there's no point to speak to anyone in the office because that's what filing a claim is for. The following business day called again about a weight receipt, was told they would speak with the driver to get the paperwork and would give us a call back, 24 hours goes by and nothing. Call their office again, told that the dispatcher had an emergency happen so it hadn't been handled yet, but that there was a weight receipt (even confirmed again that there was one done) and that it would be sent over. Another 24 hours goes by and nothing, call the office today and was told that they looked through everything and there was nothing in our contract about needing a receipt, spoke with supervisor who refused to admit they did anything wrong stating that it would have needed to noted before pickup to get an empty and then full weight for this, which again wrong because it can also be a full and then done empty after as well. As I'm sure they will come back with a response outlining that they had no obligation to anything not on contract and make it sound like I'm some idiot who doesn't understand things, I hope that this review reaches other military and fellow veterans to ensure they are not treated this way."
"NO STARS! My 75 year old parents are currently being unloaded as I'm typing this. LOTS of damage to say the least! The few people that were helping, only spoke Spanish, were not friendly or helpful whatsoever! They are not putting items in the correct rooms, just stacking away in the garage. When you ask them to put in another room, they leave the box where they are standing and go out for another one. The truck doesn't even have a lift gate (since their belongings arrived on an 18 wheeler) now we have heavy items that cannot be unloaded due to the weight of said items. From reading the reviews, it sounds like we will be charged to have a lift gate come to the house to unload these things. They don't even have my parents correct bedframe so someone else is getting their Kingsize bedframe when a twin was delivered. This company swapped these items from truck to truck and should have requested a lift gate from the broker. And of course, this was an estimated price to move items from Las Vegas, NV to Houston, TX but the price did double after they took the deposit. Money orders had to be given for final payment prior to opening the doors to unload. The woman on the phone was absolutely rude to my mother about cashiers checks having to be redone into money orders due to not being able to cancel them was the reason. (I wonder why!) They don't tell you this until they HAVE your belongings and I'm sure the other reason is that they don't want people not paying after they see how much damage is done to their belongings. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I've read all the reviews and the person responding says to "read the fine print" or that "it's the FL companies issue" and not theirs. Accountability matters! If Best Choice is having that many issues with this FL company, STOP USING THEM! Although, if you did that, you wouldn't get to double your pricing and collect payment regardless of horrible service. You should be ashamed of yourselves for poor / terrible service all the way around. I will be telling EVERYONE to not use this company!"
"Awful. They treat your stuff like garbage and force you to agree to insurance of 60 cents per pound per item. So anything expensive is only covered by weight. Which they didn’t tell us about until the truck was loaded. They take advantage of your exhaustion and stress of moving and treat your stuff like garbage. I’ve had countless things damaged or completely broken and unfixable. Find literally anyone else to work with. These people are scam artists. I have moved countless times cross country and I’ve never seen my items damaged so severely. I should’ve known to cancel the order right when I say how they were throwing boxes around while loading the truck. No care."
"From start to finish, this has been such an unpleasant experience. Stay away from this company. Don’t go with a broker who will hire out this company. Poor communication, so many items damaged on arrival, then they subcontract out delivery and they also caused damage to our house. On arrival to pick up our stuff, their truck died and we had to try to jump start it ourselves. They left a very heavy item out in the drive way in the bushes that caused us to have to change our personal moving plans and rent a bigger vehicle to drive across country. Called multiple times and were told we would be emailed our final totals, but they were unable to email? Which is odd and makes no sense. We also called and asked if our stuff was ready, they said yes; a few hours later they called and admitted to a mistake and said that was someone else’s stuff. We had them simply put everything in the garage and decided to move everything else ourselves after they damaged our door and scratched our walls. We will be submitting claims. But this was a poor experience. When we called and asked does this happen often, the receptionist said, “well, actually yes it does.” Then proceeded to give us the information to file a claim."
"Brought too small of a trucktruck for a whole house cross country move, loaded my stuff in CA, then put it storage for 30 day in Las Vegas. Once delivered to TX items were missing, broken, and scratched. They're only willing to pay 60cents per lb, was never informed property would be atore for 30 days not that I could've purchased full coverage insurance. BEWARE!!"
