Reviews of Midco® Aquatic Center
"The people that work at this beautiful facility ultimately ruin what could be a great experience. Constantly yelling for the slightest infraction (e.g. putting your head underwater for a second in the current stream, or putting one foot onto the stairs of the slide until the next person has exited). Who ever is managing the staff here is on a power trip, and it’s unfortunately rubbing off on the young staff members in the pool. I constantly found myself looking over my shoulder to see if what we were doing was ok with the staff, sad. Wild water west by comparison is a lot more laid back while still maintaining safety. Also, the water works in the kids play area is only on for 15 min and then off for 45 min. Wouldn’t it make sense to have the water on for 45 and off for 15? Very nonsensical. Overall a really nice facility that could use some personnel training."
"We went swimming for a birthday party. Overall, it was good, but they have a lot of rules. Most of them are not posted on their website, or I did not find them. The one I had the biggest problem with was no life jackets. There where not signs nor was it mentioned on their website. My daughter loves to be independent, and she wasn't able to sense she couldn't wear a life jacket."
"A very very fast pool for a competitive meet. The air quality is Horrible. There is a guarantee to get chlorine poisoning and not be able to breath after two days in there."
"Where do I start!! The rules are so freaking strict to start off, they should have signs everywhere in that place showing the rules, because that's how they treat you!! Never have I been yelled at by so many people at the same time for a mediocre rule I accidentally broke for the second time because I didn't understand what they were saying. When we got there the diving boards were closed for a swim meat witch I understand, but 2/3 of every other pool was closed because some kid pooped himself, but they didn't care to tell us until we have been swimming in it for a little while. Apparently we broke so many rules (by accident mind you) that when we were drying off, one of the life guards came in the bathroom without ever using it and was cursing us out for how we broke so many rules, swearing at us and such. I tried my best to keep my cool, but I couldn't take a grown man full on having a temper tantrum because of teenage boys who didn't know the rules. So we couldn't help but laugh!! It was just to immature of him to be treating us this way for little to no reason!! But he got so angry by it that he just full on kicked us out and waited by the door of the bathroom until we were out, at first he was trying to make me get out RIGHT AWAY AT THAT MOMENT, but I proceeded to tell him that I'm not going out in almost freezing temperatures while soaking and that I needed time to dry off and get dressed. He didn't seem to understand to well."
"We have been here numerous times. We have held birthday parties here, we have been to other birthday parties here as well. The facility is beautiful and the hours are good. The water temps need to be warmer. The rules are too strict. You feel like you are under pressure all the time by the lifeguards. The “ten minute breaks” are 13 minutes- going off of the clock on the wall. It makes it hard to have a good time. This place could be so much more, but as is It’s OK."
