"They have a lot of what a grocery store would have so it’s really helpful to have one in town. They are a lot like a small Walmart, where they have a little bit in a lot of different departments like clothes, food, drink, cleaning supplies and more. The staff at our local Hull DG is friendly and has a cordial demeanor."
"Stood in line for more than 20 minutes, not impressed. Only one person working and the store was a mess. Not only were we in line, there was at least two people behind me, all of us having fewer items than the person in front of us. If you think you can leave your car running while you run into dollar general "quick", You might want to rethink."
"Nice store , but horrible place to work . Manager won’t close store even though it’s Dollar General’s policy a manager is to close the store AS well as every employee hired . The manager talks to employees about other employees, negative place to work . A manager should be part of a team environment and told me she doesn’t care about anyone but herself . She talks negatively to customers about the employees. She doesn’t encourage customers to do surveys, she basically makes them and berates them . She yells at employees in front of customers. She will say everything is from Jeff at district but when you talk to him he Says he never said what she said he did . She Lies and lost 5 employees . I worked there was assistant manager . NEVER got a weekend off . Don’t work there unless you never want to see your family for little pay . No weekends off or any day hours those are saved for her and her favorite employee at the time . She’ll promise you a lot and lie to you and if you don’t do everything she wants she will trash talk you to other employees and to customers . You’ve been warned ."
