Reviews of Whispering Hills
"Been here since last year. Front desk staff is rude & condescending. When I first moved in to my apt I was told I would have certain appliances, I triple checked with them & they confirmed but they made me sign the lease before getting the keys. Upon getting the keys, I found out my apt didn’t have the things I was told they did + what pictures showed for that specific apt #. Called Lund Company and their just as useless as the staff here. Aside from that issue, parking is a nightmare almost daily & you have no option to schedule when maintenance comes into your homes. If you have a pet, your told to put them somewhere like a room while maintenance is there so basically they’ll be in your room until you get home from work bc they like to come on week days. The location is okay but overall I’ve had better experiences at all my other apartments- all of which are up front about what you’ll be getting & accommodating for residents. In response to your reply below: ⬇️⬇️⬇️ There was 0 transparency when it came to that topic and I had witnesses to prove it. The website showed that unit had those appliances and pictures did as well. Also, I had verbal confirmation about the appliance prior to signing my lease with Melissa and it was a lie. Unfortunately, when I came to ask about it, my family and I were met with condescending tones and people making us out to be liars. Disgusting way to deal with residents. And yes, maintenance accommodated me today, but that was also along with an email saying, “ I did want to make sure you understand that when it comes to inspections and 24-hour notices, it is not a request to enter. It is notice that we are entering. We will not always be able to reschedule, that is why we usually give more than 24 hours notice. But we are only required to give 24 hour notice” Exact email from management, so lets not pretend like people are getting options most times"
"They make you pay to replace batteries, light bulbs and filters in their appliances (including CO2 and smoke alarms). It's not cool. Especially since the ceilings are high."
"Currently scamming me out of $100. I got a puppy and had to DNA swab her for the Poo Prints program. I had to take her in twice to do this bc apparently the first swab wasn’t good enough. Now they’re claiming I didn’t pick up after my dog and they found her feces “somewhere around the building you reside” (OBVIOUSLY). They cannot point me to where this was found or provide me with a photo of said feces. I don’t even know what the sample they sent in looks like. Regardless of not having this proof, I’m supposed to fork over $100 and if I don’t, I’ll have to pay late fees. They claim they don’t need any other evidence besides the document from Poo Prints saying it was a DNA match. Who’s to say that sample wasn’t taken from the pet trash can to make some extra $$$ for the holidays? Apparently I’m supposed to take their word for it, as this would be a waste of time and money (even though that is the job of the groundskeeper and they can definitely make a solid profit off of this considering it’s about $50 per test). Btw, every time they “find” your dog’s feces, it’s another $100 tacked on, so next time it’s $200, then $300, $400, etc. Apparently they don’t take the possibility of cross contamination into consideration either, as everyone I’ve talked to refuses to touch on this point. So yes, if you have a dog I would HIGHLY suggest finding somewhere else that doesn’t participate in, or at least has a better process for this Poo Prints program. Otherwise, I’m sure they’ll “find” your dog’s poop somewhere too. You should see how many poop piles are left all over this complex for weeks, yet they somehow stumble across my 9lbs dog’s poop? Or supposedly I could've accidentally missed seeing her poop, despite her being only 8 months old, watched like a hawk, AND on a leash at all times. Sounds like a big fat SCAM to me!! Perhaps find somewhere with a better customer service team too. All the Lund Company did for me was call the complex and repeat to me what we had already discussed. You’d think maybe they’d take the time to actually look into this but alas, that’s too much effort these days. My lease isn’t up until August, so we’ll see how much they con me out of until then. 1 star. Theres nothing meticulous about finding a sample from who knows where and sending it in without notifying the resident of what was sent in until theyre hit with a $100+ fee. This is a scam until proven otherwise. The documentation does not give a detailed description of the location, it literally just says my address. There is also absolutely a possibility of cross contamination. This is false information."
"If I could give them 0/5, I definitely would. My husband and I lived here for 2 years and 10 months. The first two years or so were great, 5/5. But the last 10 months were a nightmare. I don’t know if management changed or what, but the people in the office were very difficult to work with and the guy in our walkthrough to leave the apartment had been pretty rude. The neighbor above us had water damage and they literally painted over the brown water stains on the ceiling in our apartment. I figured they at least fixed the leak, but there was water damage 2 more times. And the last time, they didn’t even come to try to cover the damage up! Our sink flooded over the summer due to peoples’ incorrect use of the garbage disposal and it flooded onto the kitchen floor and into the laundry room. The floor ended up lifting due to the water damage and the office reached out once about fixing it, but when I called/emailed, I never got a response and they never reached back out. It was a bit smelly, and we were scared of mold. It was very troubling for us because we were actively trying to start a family, but it’s difficult when you’re worried about living in a moldy apartment and cooking in a gross kitchen. We’re still dealing with them now and they are trying to charge us for small random fees that I’ve never had an issue with at other complexes during the move out process. We even had our apartment professionally cleaned to get our deposit back but they are insisting we won’t get our deposit and that we owe money on top of that. One of the maintenance guys told us that this complex is the best complex of the Lund company, and that’s pretty sad. Do not move here unless you want endless problems with terrible customer service."
"We love living in whispering Hills apartments. Everything to our satisfaction. The office staff has been very helpful, all services have been provided when needed. The security is good, no issues and incidents, maintenance is good, the location and neighborhood is calm and quiet. The neighbors are good, respectful and good behaving."
