"A must see at least once during ones lifetime. The Gatekeepers Museum connects to the dam property. The bridge was called "Fanny Bridge" because drivers and passersbys could see were people's FANNY looking over the bridge. Haha!!!"
"Great for a quick stop along the Lakeside trail. There's a bunch of informational billboards along both sides and in the middle explaining the history and significance."
"A fun stop while driving around the whole lake! We were the only ones there. Lots of information posted everywhere and it's right next to the Gatekeeper's Museum."
"Walk behind the dam to find a lovely serene park, beach area where you can soak your tootsies in cool clean clear water. Best wading with water shoes-sandals on because it's rocky."
"The Lake Tahoe Dam is a unique sight to see in North Lake Tahoe with a lot of history behind it. Definitely worth seeing if in Tahoe City since it is the only outlet of water for Lake Tahoe. The age of the dam is also impressive, and the small neighboring park is also a great place to relax."
