"The South Warner wilderness is absolutely amazing. This trail has follows Pine Creek and there are many ponds all full of fish. There are eight trailhead going into the wilderness."
"The road to the to trailhead is really smooth and well maintained. Beautiful spot"
"We hiked up to the spring fed lake we call moon lake. There was a bald eagle that circled overhead . The water was colder then i wanted to swim in, this time. The spring that helps fill the lake was flowing pretty strongly. It took us an hour and 10 minutes to walk in from the trail head. My son and I have made it in half an hour with heavy packs before, though. The lake does have fish and there are very good camping areas around the lake with lots of accessible firewood in the area. It is very beautiful here and a great place for a base camp if you want to hike to Paterson lake at the tol of the Warner mountain range."
"Plenty of parking at the trail head, but beware of cattle trailers."
"This Trail head is 7200' high but North Lake Trail head 9400' high in Inyo National Forest! If you want to hike on John Muir Trail via either Pine Creek Pass 11100' or Piute Pass 11400',the altitude is different about 2200' between these Trail heads"
