"Have lived in the Hux for about 4 years now and never really thought about switching mechanics from when I lived in Ankeny, but two breakdowns on the Mercury brought me to Bud's recently and have had excellent service both times. Hopeful that I don't have to see their faces for a while but I feel good going back if I have to, lol. I did tow thru insurance but convenient they have their own wrecker too."

"I brought my car in to be diagnosed at the beginning of December because the battery light kept coming on and it was making an odd noise. The next day I got a call saying my vehicle was done, which I was confused about because I had brought it in to find out what was wrong and told them to call me before doing anything. They told me my battery terminal was cracked so they replaced it. I picked it up and it seemed fine however about two weeks later the noise started again and the battery light started coming on periodically. Eventually it came on and then my car would not start again. Very disappointing that all I wanted was to know what was wrong with my car, they claimed they fixed it and yet I ended up in the same position, same problem, and no idea what is even wrong with it. I also noticed when I received my car back the check engine light was off, meaning the code had been cleared. I already knew the check engine light was on due to the coolant thermostat. They never mentioned to me that the thermostat was going bad and throwing a code which I was expecting they would mention since I knew it was. They simply cleared the code and said nothing. I feel as though they slapped a bandage on the problem and just sent me on my way rather than doing what I asked and diagnosing what the issue is."
