Pizza Ranch

"Today March 1st 2024. My girlfriend and I came to Winterset Iowa. To visit the John Wayne's Museum and the coverd Bridges. So we decided to stop into the Pizza Ranch for dinner around 4pm. We noticed a few vehicles in the parking lot. So we stopped in to eat. We ordered the buffet and to our surprise. There surly wasn't much on the hot table. The Pizza that was there was dried out. Along with the chicken and potatoes. We fix a plate since we already payed. Myself made a salad and a couple of dried out slices of pizza. The girlfriend did the same. We chocked down what was in our plate. Definitely not worth the $36 dollars. When we left the same Pizza remained on the hot table."

"ORDERED CHEESEBURGER PIZZA AND BUFFALO WINGS FOR DELIVERY. CHICKEN WAS SUCCULENT AND GOOD. WOULD EAT THIS AGAIN! EATING THIS PIZZA WAS LIKE CHIEFING DOWN A CARDBOARD BOX. HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL AND FIR THE PRICE EXPECTED A REAL TREAT, BUT INSTEAD I DID NOT. DELIVERY DRIVER WAS PHENOMENAL AND WAS THE BEST PART OF MY EXPERIENCE."

"It's a little expensive for the quality of food you might get. It really depends what night it is. Sometimes everything is really fresh. Other times it's like they don't rotate anything. When there's a hard, dry shell on the jello, that might be a problem. Most of the staff are really polite though. Treated my kids really nice and were willing to make a dessert pizza when my daughter asked. It's as good as you're willing to make it."

"The high score is reflective of their chicken. It the best in the city. Their pizza is not great, but not bad at all. They've got some good dessert pizzas along with a decent salad bar. One if my favorite places to eat."

"I had to wait almost 10 minutes to even be acknowledged at the counter. Another 10 before any food was out on the buffet. The sign says open at 10:30, buffet starts at 11am. I arrived about 11:10 & was interested in the buffet. The chicken was great. I didn't have any pizza. They only had one kind out the whole time I was there. Did have a nice salad and their salad bar had a nice selection of fresh items. $13 which included a pop. Sort of spendy with no food out and one choice of pizza. I visited on another evening and had a better experience. The pizza was fine. Breadsticks good. $16 for evening buffet. Now have tried their wings which are delicious. 8 pack for $15- had it delivered to work. Hot and fresh. Loved the sweet chili sauce."
