Brakes Plus

"I arrived about 8:30am on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the 90th Street Brakes Plus location. Upon entering, I waited patiently to talk to someone about the services I needed. While I waited I made small talk with the gentleman in the lobby. One even told me that the front desk staff had just stepped away and would be back to help me. So, I continued to patiently wait. Shortly after, I was greeted by JD from behind the counter with a strong handshake, which I returned. I even made comment to the fact. Anyway, JD asked me a few questions about my vehicle and I basically stated I needed my brakes looked at so I could get them fixed. JD informed me that there was a 45min wait and asked would I be dropping off my car. I said, no I would stay and maybe take a little walk around while I waited. JD asked me for my keys and I grabbed my coat and was about to walk out of the building as another gentleman was entering the lobby. I overheard JD tells the gentleman that he would have a 1 hour and 45 minute wait since others had come in since his phone call. I noted that, and went on my way. With the expectation of getting a call from DJ with the required work needed for my car. When I never received a call I assumed they were still checking things out. Upon, my return which was at 10:35 am I noticed my car was still parked in the same spot I left it in when I arrived at 8:30am. I entered the lobby and asked if there where any updates. JD told me my car was up next with 5 customers behind me. JD went on to say that he can't control the services that customers choose to get done on their cars that came before me. This statement left me scratching my head, because I had just had a conversation with the gentleman that had been told he had a 1 hour and 45 minute wait and his car was already taken back and was being worked on as we spoke. I sat in the lobby perplexed for a moment and decided that after already waiting 2 hours to not have may car looked at was already more than I had originally signed up for. So, instead of causing a scene I decided to collect my keys and find the services I could not get completed at Brakes Plus somewhere else. As I drove out of the parking lot I became upset. So, I gave JD a call on the phone to address my concerns privately. I informed JD that he did in fact have the control as to the order of car/appointment arrival and that I did not appreciate being pushed to the side and seen as less of a priority to someone that was previously told that he had a 1 hour and 45 minute. I came to Brakes Plus because my sister recommended them to me, well she recommended the Papillion location not the 90th Street location. However, I though good customer service would be across the board. However, not in my case."
