Good benefits, above average pay, nice variety of jobs, and Team Leaders are well trained and invested in their work Mike Oberle from HR is second to NONE in the HR field. He doesn't BS you, and will go above and beyond to help anyone who is willing to be honest and open with him. Plant Manager Mark Nellis is 150% invested in his job and doesn't p****foot around. He is prompt and fiercely loyal to his Team Leads and their employees. The majority of employees take pride in their work and put out the best possible product they can. The company is competitive and constantly innovating to stay on top of the market. If you need a job, this is a good place. If you want a quality product, this is the place."

"Purchased a Demco Stay In Play Duo brake system. This system almost immediately snapped due to the cable being faulty. Upon contacting Demco the rep asked me if the line was cut cleanly stating that it may have bent and broke due to a clearance issue. This was obviously a leading question to relieve them of liability within the warranty. When I stated that it in fact is fraid and not a clean cut, he still used the same excuse for failure and offered only to sell me a part. With a 5 year warranty you would think they would offer resolution for something that happens within a year. I have three of the same product on 3 vehicles. I've been very happy with the product, but am very unhappy with the failure to back up the warranty. This review is simply a reflection of their warranty procedure and I'm happy to remove or change this review upon resolution."

"If you are looking for a supplemental brake system for a towed vehicle behind a motorhome, SMI Manufacturing has the best products on the market and their customer service is 1st class. I had one of their early systems that you had to take in and out of the towed vehicle for 16 years. We never had a problem with it and it worked great for all those years. When we bought our new diesel motorhome with airbrakes, we had them install an Air Force One system. The system works proportionately so if you softly apply the brakes in the motorhome, the brakes are applied softly in the towed vehicle. If you apply the brakes harder in the motorhome, the brakes are applied harder in the towed vehicle. Another key feature is that it keeps the vacuum in the towed vehicle power brake system active so your power / anti-lock brakes work in your towed vehicle which then requires much less pressure on the towed vehicle brake system (and prevents you from locking up your towed vehicle brakes and potentially flat spotting your tires). I can't say enough good about the company, the employees or the products, they are all 1st class. Next time I'm in the market for a supplemental brake system I won't hesitate to go back to SMI Manufacturing!"
