"Extremely disappointed with the work done on my very reliable Colt Government Model 1911. I only requested slide sights cuts and the installation of Kimber-style TruGlo T.F.O. Sights. Nothing more. Without prior authorization from me, they: 1.) Machined cuts/installed Novak-style T.F.O. Sights! 2.) Replaced the ejector, extractor, the firing pin's spring and its stop plate. 3.) The ejection port was lowered, flared and lengthened. 4.) The front sight was canted to the left. Dimples on its right side account for this. 5.) After shooting 50 rounds, the rear sight lockscrew rose upward on its own, blocking the view of the front sight. This screw was not secured with threadlocker. Prior to sending it to Tussey, this pistol went through 500 trouble-free rounds, so there was no need to replace any of the factory parts. Regarding the sights, the word "Kimber" was crossed off on my receipt. Someone wrote "Novak" in its place. They knew exactly what I wanted and still did not honor my request. Send a pistol to this shop and there is no telling what THEY will do to it or what the charge will be!"
