The Chelsea

"The Zepeda & Hughes boxing match at the Chelsea (Cosmopolitan Casino), was definitely worth the price of admission. The venue was packed and it appeared the majority of attendees were Zepeda supporters. Also, in attendance was former boxer and fight promoter, Oscar de La Jolla. This was my first time at the Chelsea and I was impressed with its size and overall design, especially, for it being inside a casino. There were two bars on the first level serving cocktails and a variety of snacks. They were a bit pricey but not surprising given the venue. The fight itself was very entertaining with Zepeda coming in as the heavy favorite and winning the fight after Hughes’ corner requested the fight be stopped. Although, the exact reason for the stoppage was not known, it appeared it may have been due to the numerous devastating body punches delivered by Zepeda throughout the fight, which, may have resulted in Hughes being injured."

"I had an amazing experience at the Chelsea’s box office on 2/9/24 during the Budlight Backyard Tour. I had purchased a potentially duplicate ticket on VividSeats a few months prior to the show, and when I tried to enter, the scanner stated that the ticket had already been scanned. I was pretty disappointed that I had gotten scammed and walked over to the box office to see if anything could be done about it. Not only were the box office staff incredibly diligent in trying to get to the root of my problem, they were friendly, kind, and understanding. Matthew Farmer handed me an extra ticket. Give this man a raise. The level of kindness and generosity that I experienced here was unmatched and truly one-of-a-kind. Truly above and beyond customer service."

"It was a so so theater, drink area was tiny, the restrooms were dirty, the employees very ignorant of how to give directions to hotel locations. It was not a good experience. Would not go again. Fluffy was not his best. Seemed very down on life. Maybe a bad day for him."

"Our experience was great. Free self parking under cosmopolitan with elevators up to the hotel/casino. The Chelsea is up the escalators on the 3rd floor. The floor has regular chairs that are sometimes removed for standing room only. We really liked the venue and sound quality."

"First time visiting this venue. Had seats 2nd floor gallery near center. First impression was I didn't like the acoustics. But once the band was playing, the acoustics proved to be excellent. It's a bit smaller venue than some other in town which I thought made it better. During the show there were a couple of engineering/ sound issues which upset the performers. All in all would go there again."
