"My family just moved to the island from the mainland and we mailed the majority of our belongings. However, prior to mailing, we were unaware that our new address doesn’t receive mail. They made us aware, said they would hold our many packages until we arrived and get us set up with a PO BOX. They seriously were so nice about the entire mix up and alleviated our initial panic when we found out! Mahalo everyone! You made this move seamless for us."

"The problem with this post office is simple. It’s probably one of the worst postal experiences you can have in the entire United States. Unfortunately the workers here appear to have high levels of anxiety. That coupled with the fact that they’re probably often treated poorly by customers who are frustrated because of how long it takes for them to find items or the fact that they kind of belligerently yell back at patrons instead of behave in a more professionally trained customer service manner. I have relatives that work in the postal service at numerous locations in several different states. I hate to say it but unfortunately this is probably the worst postal experience I’ve ever had without question. They should hire a good postmaster to come in and really see what’s going on and clean up shop"

"Ordered 2 packages to my in-laws’ address, number is clearly posted on the road, and have received deliveries here before. Kealakekua USPS returned both shipments to sender as “undeliverable”, even tho the address is clearly posted, it’s dry season and the roads are fine. Why didn’t they deliver my packages? Unprofessional waste of resources, time and money."

"As others have mentioned this location scans packages as delivered and puts a slip in my PO box but the package is not delivered and hasn’t been sorted. I live an hour away and gas is 5.80 a gallon right now so not pleased with wasting my time coming down here for nothing. Word of advice if it says delivered its a 50/50 shot that its actually there and more than likely won’t be there 24-48 hours after they say it was delivered."
