"Woman at the counter seemed nice but would have me call a number just to tell me to call another number and so on. Felt like she could’ve been more transparent about how to go about it instead of having someone jump through so many hoops."
"Matson scratched the whole side of my truck and we immediately filed a claim. Guy that did the paperwork with me constantly said that it wasn’t their fault well it was in your care who else would have done it? They chalked it up to wear and tear on the vehicle even though we have proof. Now they constantly ignore our emails and calls. Next step lawyer and BBB. No morals with this company."
"I GIVE ONE STAR, Today i went to drop off my vehicle at Matson to be shipped to California. I was in the inspection lane clearing out my car, when a woman pulls into the next inspection lane in a VW Bug next to my car. The woman's car was packed full with her belongings. When i asked the inspector about the belongings in the woman's car, the inspector said to me that they just got a call to let the car go through inspection full of her belongings. I then again asked what is this all about? his answer was this is Hawaii . I let him Know that i was from Hawaii and i know the rules about shipping cars. Nothing in the car. Oh i guess that means nothing in my car but other people can bring there car in fully packed Anything could be in that car. And someone at Matson is going against the law of shipping. Very disappointing. I will be emailing higher up about this.."
"I wanted to warn people about a scam Matson is running. I shipped my car from California to Honolulu. I got the car washed and waxed as they request you to wash the car so they can inspect it. The car was in tiptop shape. The day I get there they bring my car out and it’s literally covered in dirt making it impossible to inspect, which I learned, was the point. I asked him how he expected me to inspect the car and he said I could get it washed and I had 3 days to “file a claim.” He immediately says but we took pictures of the vehicle so we’ll know if we caused the damage. Problem with that, at the very least, was that he would need to take the pictures prior to me receiving it not days or weeks prior to my pickup where anything could happen in between. Then he tries to have me sign something that’s covered underneath a bunch of other paperwork. Then he’s trying to rush me from reading it. You’re basically releasing them of responsibility which you shouldn’t sign unless you can inspect the car and only then. After washing my car I had a dent on the passenger side. It’s like it got pushed in. I took a video and pictures before and after and at certain angles you can make it look like their is no damage due to glare and lighting. This is probably why he made that comment. The damage to my car isn’t cheap because my car is European so everything is expensive. I also noticed the mileage was about 5 miles different which I can’t understand how or why. This place has a system in place to handle damages to avoid responsibility. Even the Uber that dropped me off said he picked up his daughters car and the side mirror was broken. You would think people that handle cars all day would be better at it. If you can avoid them you should. If you can’t, take pictures before and after and don’t sign anything."
"Shipped my 4RUNNER from California to Hawaii. Truck came in 3 days early. Easy to pick up. No problems"
