"Great spot for a sunset cocktail hour! Bring your beach chairs and drinks and enjoy the scenery!"
"Our family almost did not stop here along our drive between other points of interest, and we realize it would have been a huge mistake. The view is certainly something to behold in itself, although the history is quite appealing and should be consumed equally when visiting. We arrived when the tide and waves were combining to reach epic heights and cosmically loud crashing sounds. You definitely want to be careful as there are no fences or boundaries. We managed to peruse safely to the outer point and got terrifically drenched by the splashing ocean. We had a truly fun time and got lost in the moment for at least a couple hours."
"Usually big waves crashing against the cliff."
"Lived on the Big Island and it was one of my favorite places to come and relax. Known as end of the world, usually big waves crashing against the sea cliffs. Popular spot for cliff diving when the waves aren't big but still not something I would do. Considering my previous spiritual experiences on the island I could always feel energy in the area mostly good but a couple times it was a bit uneasy and had to leave the area. Very uneasy/creepy feeling one evening on the walk out after I came to get sunset pictures. Was never so relieved to get back to my car but like I said it is usually a positive vibe."
"We were told this was a good morning walk down from the Sheraton. After the bit of a walk on a busy road, we made our way past a small placard and into the field of rock itself. There was a small amount of space to park a car, but it was impossible to drive into the Grounds themselves. After a very light hike in over lava rock, the views were spectacular, and the coastline view here was stunning. We did see a few people taking a running leap into the water on the far side, but it didn't look like a safe decision - not enough overhang and no solid way up where the waves weren't crashing against the rock. That aside, there were some wonderful areas to scramble along the coastline, with stunning views. Wear GOOD shoes . (I didn't and I dealt with the blisters for the rest of my trip.) It is worth noting that there is private property accessible at the end of the gravel road - which should be respected. I also saw some goats near the coastline. They were adorable and relaxed. (We did not approach the wildlife, of course.) #letsguide #hike"
