Reviews of Hana Maui Botanical Gardens
"Went to the Hana Botanical Gardens on January 4, 2020 and had a lovely time! It was sooo beautiful and well maintained. Lots of gorgeous trees, plants and scenery. I would highly recommend stopping by and taking a look if you enjoy nature."
"This place is dangerous. We arrived and it was abandoned with nothing but the sign on th door asking for money for the "self guided tour" (reference the picture) We looked and saw some yellow tape but after that, nothing. Already I was sceptical but the group wanted to go on. The overgrown spider infested path had no signs and would fork off in different directions constantly. After about 100 meters, several forks in the path, Bush getting thicker and still no signs in sight I decided enough and turned the enthusiastic party around with the worry of getting lost. After I had pointed out the facts it seemed to dawn on them how dangerous this could be as at points it was so overgrown that you couldn't see the sky. Stay away from this place."
"This place is abandoned. There is a sign that says it's up for sale so it's not being maintained at all. This place is of horror movies. We arrived at an empty gate with fading signs and absolutely nobody around. It was really scary and unwelcoming. If you're shooting the sequel to Anhaliation, it's a great location, but please don't take your family there."
"The gardens are lovely but they are not maintained, so you just wanted around exploring on your own and you mind if feel you've gone for a walk in the jungle. There are lots of mosquitos so come prepared!"
"If want to wander around in someone's back yard hoping you can eventually find your way out, this is the place. I had flashbacks to exploring my grandpa's old farm in Iowa. The place is totally over grown, like any other tropical rain forest, but none of the trees or plants are labeled and the paths are just areas that happen to have been cut down at some point in the recent past. Enter at your own risk. $3 a person"
