"Drea has a wonderful mix of design sense, endless knowledge and enthusiasm to support her work with aftercare. Also just such a lovely presence. Bounty paper towels, flow bindings and high mountain greenery are the only can’t-miss brands. :)"
"This store is amazing!! There are a plethora of great plant and pot options, so many I couldn't decide. Drea, the store owner is a total gem - so helpful, so knowledgeable, so kind. I'm excited to go back again and again."
"Amazing plants in this store. The owner knows her stuff and cares personally for all the plants. When I entered she was playing in the dirt (a good sign) re-potting and pruning a few beauties. All the plants in the store were robust and healthy, a testament to her skill to keep the whole shop rocking through the winter. The owner made sure I got the correct plant for the sunlight I had (which can be a challenge in Tahoe) and told me I could message her with any questions (which I actually believe she means). You too can become a plant parent with the help of High Mountain Greenery."
"Hi plant people/ prospective plant people from the future. So imma share my wonderful experience I had at High Mountain Greenery with y’all, hope you enjoy my lil story! A little bit about myself, I am a young lad who had NO prior experience with raising plants. On January 16th, 2021, I made the decision to buy my first plant. I found this store via the internet (obviously) and it was the closest plant nursery to my house so I hopped in my car and threw the address into my Navi. To my surprise, when I pulled into the parking lot, I realized that I’ve been to this plaza before! It’s right by Artemis grill, which I eat at pretty often. I thought to myself “I can’t believe I’ve never noticed this cute little store”. Anyways, I approached the front door and already, I could tell, that this store, was REALLY COOL. I go inside and the aesthetic in there was so beautiful, there was also really Vibey music. There were a few ppl inside so I browsed around pretending that this wasn’t my first rodeo. Once the other ppl left I went to the girl at the front of the store. I thought she was an employee but then she told me that she was the owner. I told her I was new to plants and she was so helpful and kind. I found out her name was Drea (not sure if I spelled that right but it’s pronounced like Andrea without the “an”) Drea was so charismatic and friendly and she also had really positive energy. I ended up spending about an hour in the store chatting with her and learning about plants. She was super knowledgeable and easy to talk to and she was able to share her knowledge in a very easy-to-understand way. She has a WIDE VARIETY of potted plants, so it was perfect for finding my first room plant. After a while I decided to go with the marble queen pothos as my first plant, as it is an easier plant which is good for beginners. It can thrive in indirect sunlight which is perfect because my room doesn’t really get direct sunlight. She said that this plant is pretty hardy so it’ll be good practice for me to learn how to water. She taught me how to check the soil for water level and I learned that it’s better to under water than over water. I also ended up buying a Hoya for my bf, he’s been raising plants for years and is extremely knowledgeable. I also bought some really cool stickers and pins (made by a local Tahoe artist). Long story short I fell in love with this local store because Drea is authentic and genuine. I can tell she really enjoys what she is doing and I left the store feeling so excited and alive. I will for sure be going back to this local treasure shop! Thank you Drea for being you and so awesome and welcoming. It really made my first plant experience/love for plants and the plant community grow. Haha. Get it."
"Went into HMG and was not disappointed, with the plants nor customer service. The owner was nothing but helpful and well spirited, she knew her plants and was more than happy to walk around with me and answer all of my questions. My visit was surrounded by good energy and healthy/happy greenery. It ended with me buying a nice plump Aloe and leaving with the aroma of the lil bunch of lavender she kindly gave me and my family. Thank you for your kind nature."
