"The most amazing day in Maui. Kyle was hands down the best tour guide. Took us to places that weren’t crowded but that he knew we would like based on the vibe he got from our group. We got incredible photos at some gorgeous beaches. He told us he was taking us to have the best poke bowls on the island and it was no lie. Best poke bowl EVER! His car was very clean and comfortable. Conversation was great and we learned so much Hawaiian history. Can’t recommend Sandy Cheeks enough. "When my wife suggested that we hire a driver to take us to Hana, I wasn’t sure why we would need one. Then I started reading online about how windy and narrow the roads were. Combined with the fact that the road to Hana is nicknamed “the Road to divorce“, well that made it an easy decision to go along with it. I am so glad I did! Kyle was an amazing tour guide. Not only was he well prepared for the trip with snacks and drinks, the vehicle was extremely comfortable, and he provided a running commentary all along the way of facts and history. Best of all, he stopped at places which people who were driving themselves would never know about. We would literally pass dozens of cars parked on the side of the road only to go down the way about a mile, pull off on some side road, and find an even better more secluded beach to swim. I am so glad we used Sandy Cheeks!!"

"I’m not one to write a online reviews, but this was hands down the best excursion i’ve ever been on and highlight of our 2-week vacation. My wife and I did the Road to Hana private tour, so it was just the two of us. We got super lucky because our guide was the owner, Kyle Barfield who is usually booked which in hindsight makes sense. He exceeded all expectations...personable, hilarious and extremely knowledgeable. He tailored the entire excursion based on our specific interests and shared our excitement at each stop. Everything was local and “off the map”....most of the places I imagine the cookie cutter tour companies dont even know about. We visited/swam in black and red sand beaches, experienced a truly local farmers market; dined at a great local scratch kitchen; explored what looked like the beach from Jurassic Park loaded with at least 50 gigantic sea turtles; and saw a lifetimes worth of whales, waterfalls and rainbows. Our favorite memory was jumping off a 30’ waterfall THROUGH A RAINBOW into a cavernous fresh water pool.. We’ve been on a lot of excursion over the years and this was hands down #1. We will 100% book another tour next time we are headed to Maui."
