"I would warn others not to use Captain Kim and her team. We booked the sunreef 62 catamaran and the boat has not been maintained and captain is erratic. We are devastated by the experience which I’ll share below: A week before our trip i had not heard from anyone. I was told the crew would reach out 3-5 days before sailing to go over pick up, menu, etc. but crew was not reaching out or responding. Mind you, it was paid in full. I had to call Jerry, who had to get ahold of captain, who hardly responded nor went over a menu and gave us a pick up location at the last moment. I had to track down everyone (and bug) to get a response. Now, food is an additional add on and water, juice and soda is said to be provided. We've done a trip like this before where the mini fridge was stocked and it was amazing. Lets start with the drinks, they had one cooler of some water bottles, 2 energy drinks, 3 random beers, and some sparkling water. See photo. There was another cooler on board as the fridge but both empty. For the food, we were served a nice fruit plate but a "cheese board" of stale pretzels and cream cheese. They made a meal which was fine but it was not what was promised - we had a fish we don't even eat and hamburgers. Lastly, the crew did not know what they were doing. We were told they were experienced but half of our voyage was the Capitan shouting at the crew what to do and how to do it. They wouldn't be able to figure out and she'd come down to show them. We felt so uncomfortable we felt we had to move back and forth around the boat to be out of the way. Some positives: they were nice and they blew up a pool for our kids and fruit plate was good. I reached out for a resolution which jerry agreed with me but captain said she’s not doing a refund and just said she probably shouldn’t be a captain anymore and further erratically texted emotional tactics which was extremely unprofessional."

"I had a wonderful time on my trip with Hawaiian Charters. Two of my friends and I spent four nights and five days on the Blaze 2. It was a memorable way to experience Hawaii that was relaxing and exhilarating. It was relaxing in that is a very comfortable boat. It is a 65-foot catamaran, and we all had our own cabin with an attached bathroom. There were many pleasant places to be on the boat, up top, on the trampolines on the bow, or in the cushioned stern area. Our Captain Kim ensured we were comfortable and safe. She served us plenty of fresh, delicious food, even accommodating my gluten-free diet. She had an assistant skipper, Tommy, who was very helpful, kind, and patient, and a cute little dog assistant called Rita. It was exhilarating. Being on a boat gave me incredible unique views of the islands and the sea and the best snorkeling I have ever experienced. It was so easy and fun doing it off the back of the catamaran. We sailed to Moloka'i harbor and around Lanai Island after anchoring, snorkeling, and kayaking at incredible spots. It was so beautiful that a friend and I slept outside on the trampolines one night to sleep under the stars. We saw sea turtles, dolphins, whales, sea birds, and an incredible amount of fish. It wasn't cheap, yet the experience was priceless, well worth the money for this incredible trip."

"Our family of five including a young adult and two teens had a fantastic time on Blaze II. Captain Kim was ill the week we visited so Captain Kalai, Tommy and Lena were our crew. They took such good care of us! We chose to explore a bit more than we are told is usual. Our second day we sailed around Molokai, a mostly uninhabited and gorgeous island. The third day we sailed to the uninhabited side of Lanai. We snorkeled, paddle boarded, kayaked and swam at our fabulously gorgeous and completely private anchoring points. We didn't see another boat nor person for two days! And we got to sail with a school of dolphins. I wish I could share the video; they were right below us on the front of the boat for at least twenty minutes. It was a truly spectacular trip, one we could not have experienced any other way. Our crew was made up of native Hawaiians, the Captain a teacher of Hawaiian studies. They were so gracious in sharing their culture and customs with us. It was a joy to be on the boat and to spend time with the crew. If you are seriously considering this trip, don't hesitate. It's a truly amazing and unique way to experience the islands. We kinda feel badly for people who only stay at the resorts; they have no idea what they are missing!"

"Our family had the most amazing day on the beautiful blue water surrounding Maui. Captain Kim and the crew were awesome. The boat was immaculate and we enjoyed watching countless whales swimming nearby, snorkeling with James Bond water sleds, and viewing Maui, Lanai, Molokai & Kahoolawe while watching the sunset. It was a bucket list experience!"

"Best vacation ever! Ted and Christine were very gracious and accommodating. They kept the boat very clean. They took us to some amazing secluded places on the islands! The food they fixed was absolutely superb. They communicated with us on the weather, gave us options each day so we could customize the trip to our desires. We had a large group of spinner dolphins which swam with our boat for a long time. Seen whales breaching and baby’s nursing (with binoculars) Kayaking, paddle boarding etc was all included. Highly recommend the Blaze II with them as the crew. Would be great for girls trip, families etc. Ted and Christine are Ohana to us now. I’d give them 10 stars if I could! We’ll be back for sure."
