"My husband and I booked with Silver Falls Ranch while on our honeymoon in Kuaui and had a blast! We met up with Karly who was so kind and informative while getting us set up in the beginning. Our guide was Juan and he was awesome, calm, and super knowledgeable about the horses and island! My husband is not much of an outdoorsy person and had never ridden a horse before so Juan was crucial in ensuring my husband had a great experience. Juan took us through the trail on our horses which led to a waterfall where they had snacks and drinks waiting for us. At the end, they let us feed our horses treats and even let us brush them! It was a great way to end our time in Kuaui so definitely check them out. Special thanks to Cruiser, Wahine, and Scotty, our horses :)"
"Breathtaking ranch on the North Shore of Kauai. The 160 acre ranch is very conveniently located just minutes from Princeville and about 30 minutes from Kapaa. Staff is very gracious and accomodating (they let us stay and film our daughter making a video after our ride and gave us free reign - pun intended - of the Ranch). Guides were fabulous (shout out to Juan who spent a lot of time making sure our 5-year old special needs daughter had a great ride experience of her own). The falls on the property is a small picturesque swimming hole with waterfalls (not the towering falls that Kauai is famous for). The swim is very refreshing and they give you plenty of time there. The horses are definitely a step above most trail horses and they tailor the horse to the rider (with more than 100 horses they have a horse for you). The love for the animals was also evident! The only small drawback was a concern for liability so they won't even let you mount without a platform. Highly recommend to round out your experience on the island."
"Beautiful scenery, beautiful horses. The staff are extremely nice and helpful. Had a wonderful 4th of July morning ride, loved the horses. Our trail guide was very nice and helpful, knew what to do to best help keep the riders and horses safe (at one point one of their workers was resting under a tree and as soon as the guide noticed the horses were getting on edge not knowing what was under the tree the had the man stand up and step away from the tree a little. Horses calmed down immediately and we were all able to safely continue our ride) the horses are very well trained and lovely to be around. Talking to the guide he had worked at nearly all the ranches on the island and silver falls was the best one to work at, most family run, fair, best horses, and best people. Good to know we picked one of the best trail rides on the island. Ain't no beach ride but still fun"
"I found this place when doing research for our honeymoon. We had such a great time! The ranch was beautiful and all the staff were nice. The horses were gentle and great for beginners. Tuckus, our guide, was fun and very informative. He was very helpful in telling us the best spots to navigate our horse when we hit muddy parts of the trail but the horses were seasoned pros. The waterfall area was beautiful and the lunch that was provided was delicious. If you bring anything with you they collect it at the start and drive it up to the waterfall/lunch area. There are little shacks that you can change into your swimsuit. The day was cooler but we still took a quick dip in the waterfall. Highly recommend this place!"
"Incredible, simply Incredible. The trail was muddy at times but that's what trail riding on one of the wettest places on the planet is all about! Guides were great and confident enough to make myself feel confident on my first time being on a horse. I was nervous, but excited! Cautious, yet felt completely in control. My family was having a great time but I cried at first and laughed as I said goodbye. I learned people in Hawaii were riding horses before my town was even built! I learned so much, it was fascinating. Our guide was even able to help us find more information on sailing canoes (our kids are obsessed with Disneys Moana) and he even met up with us to show us Kauai's sailing canoe. I couldn't say enough about such great people, great horses, a great property that reflects the beautiful island of Kauai."
