Reviews of Na Pali Explorer
"Had an absolute blast on the morning catamaran tour. We were a group of 5 and all of us were totally thrilled with our experience. Kevin was our captain and Carly and Steven were the crew members, all of whom were extremely friendly and helpful about taking pictures and answering questions. Incredible views, dolphins, whales, turtles... once in a lifetime experience, no question."
"Incredible adventure with our captain AJ! Saw a couple whales, nearly 100 dolphins, and even a sea turtle. But the best views were of the coast and daring sea cave we visited. Recommend to anyone visiting Kauai, as long as you are up for a bumpy ride. 100% worth"
"Amazing views of the NaPali coast with a great boat crew. We did the morning tour with our captain Kevin and crew Mata and Mana (spelling?) and we had the best time. The crew is so much fun and really made this a great experience for everyone. We saw dolphins, seals, turtles, and so many fish. Capt Kevin is an expert with the catamaran and maneuvered us into 2 sea caves which was the coolest experience. Also, the boxed lunch is wonderful. Didn't have high expectations for food on a boat tour, but it was great! If I ever return to Kauai, I’d definitely do this again and recommend this experience to anyone looking for a tour of the coast."
"Went on the boat tour/snorkel of the Na Pali coast with my husband after finding a lot of other places had been booked up. We found this place the day before and booked it as they had openings. When we checked in the next day there were no issues and there is a bathroom on site before you leave too, as you meet them at the harbor. We were on the Na Pali Explorer II which is a pretty big boat and it does have a bathroom since the tour was about 4 hours. They also give you dry bags to put your stuff in. Captain Kevin was awesome, he knew a lot of the history of Kauai and had a good sense of humor. The waves were a bit choppy, but he handled them easily and it seemed only a couple people got sick. The deck hands Janessa (sp?) and Drake were also super cool. Janessa even took a really good video for us of the dolphins we encountered using our GoPro and Drake took nice pictures of my husband and I as we stopped along the Na Pali coast, even offering tidbits of fact on his own here and there. Because of the choppy waves, none of the snorkel spots were safe to swim so they took us to another location just for swimming purposes, but there were no fish around, just clear open ocean. Even though I wanted to snorkel, they can't control the weather and honestly I felt that the trip was worth it even though we didn't get to snorkel. The lunch provided was also very good, your standard deli meat sandwiches. This tour was one of my favorite things on this trip, I would recommend it to anyone."
"We are very glad we decided to do this first on our Kauai vacation. It is a great way to see a lot of the island and help plan the rest of your visit. Our tour guide, Kevin, was great. Justin, the deckhand, was also awesome. You get to learn a lot about the island from those two. We took the 7:30 trip and saw dolphins and sea turtles. The waters were also a lot calmer than the afternoon. It is well worth the money."
