H&R Block

"I had a great experience at H&R block last year and this year was quite a different story, from the scheduling of my appointment to my service. I was accidentally scheduled for 2:00am instead of 2:00pm. Then I rescheduled for 1:00pm. Then someone called me to reschedule for 12:00, and then I got a text saying my appointment was for 11:00am. When I came in the man at the counter told me he tried to call me that morning and when I said I had no missed calls he said he must have misdialed. Then my TP was new and struggling (but kind and pleasant - the only nice part of my experience) and said she only had online training. She wasnt aware that I had been a returning customer and thought I was a first time costumer. When she needed the assistance of Paulette, Paulette was incredibly rude and said she couldn't help her. When I asked Paulette why my total was over double than it was last year, she was snarky and impatient with me when I wasn't following the information she dumped on me. She asked if I had my paperwork from last year, and when I said no but shouldn't they since they did my taxes? She claimed my former TP didn't upload my forms. Unlike other reviews I've seen, in my experience, she was not at all kind or helpful to myself or to her collleague. My questions went unanswered and I paid WAY more this year for WAY worse service."

"The most important part that matters is to get your taxes filed correctly. Other companies may charge a lesser fee BUT regardless, you pay for the knowledge and skills provided."
