"OneMain claims to not be like predatory loans but they are the epitome of predatory. I took a $3000 loan but after a year of ontime payments I was unable to continue paying due to a covid hardship which led to job loss. I had paid the loan down to $2000 by this time. They almost immediately took me to court and asked for me to repay $4900. This company and the people here have no empathy or care for their customers. They clearly want to destroy their customers financially"
"They try to make you feel like they are doing you a favor when challenged they power trip... this is business and the calculations had nothing to do with it. Jaime and the Manager who has a foreign asian accent, treat people like cattle, string you along, jump to conclusions due to emotions, power trip, assumptions and language barriers smh..The absolute worst service I ever encountered as they are argumentative and they think they are the only business in town. I was able to do business somewhere else fast and at a lower rate."
"This place was a little sketchy. They advertise a pre-qualification of a high amount secured based off your information on credit karma, but when you apply the terms and amount are completely different. She was asking me questions on debt that I had already worked with a credit attorney at removing from my credit report months ago and some items that were due to fall off in the next couple months. I couldn't even see those debts anymore through the three major credit companies after I pulled my own report to double check. My score has gone up considerably from fair to good and she didn't seem to show that. We ended up going with another company who had updated information and offered 3 times the amount unsecured. Really the only plus about this company could be they report to the three credit companies to help you build your credit. I guess you can only hope they report correctly for you. I wouldn't recommend them if you are seriously trying to rebuild."
"The people who works here are not VERY people friendly. My wife and I applied for a loan to help consolidate our bills and get rid of some high interest credit cards. We went into the branch to make sure we had all the paperwork we needed to provide. She said we should no of a decision in 30 min to an hour. After waiting overnight and almost 24 hours for a response, we decided to call the branch. Stephanie answered and advised me that Amber was on the phone with another customer and she would call me back. An hour and a half later, still no phone call. We then decided that since we were going to be in the area, we`d just stop by. When we arrived, Amber was gone. So we talked to the guy in the office. He was very unprofessional. He didn't speak very clearly nor did he looks at us when he spoke. He talked very low. He seemd like he was irritated to see us for the 2nd straight day. When he told us we were denied, all he said was "you should get a letter in 7-10 business days". Again, couldn't look at us and tell us, it's like he was talking to his computer instead of us. Please understand, I'm not that upset about not getting the loan. I am more upset at the lack of professionalism we experienced during our interaction with the employees. Why do you tell people that they will have an answer in a certain time and don't even bother to call them within the time frame promised. I wouldn't recommend this branch or OMF to even my worst enemy. I should have read the other reviews before even thinking about trying to work with them."
"The absolute worst loan company out there. I applied for a loan for 6000. I have a co signer with a 750 credit score. Our combined salary last year was 110k. We both got raises and will earn more this year. I had several smaller loans out there and 2 credit cards. I wanted to get rid of all those interest rates and consolidate. They told me I was approved. I used money I didn't have to pay off 2800 in high interest loans so that I didn't incur any more interest until I could complete my alleged approved loan. We only needed to provide last years check stub to complete. I knew Maria Tellez was being fraudulent when she took all of our paper work except for the title to the car. Then she used the wrong pay stub and processed the loan without contacting us. The pay stub was from 2019. She specifically asked for December 2018. So why would she used the wrong one? Then she doesn't make one attempt to reach us and work something out with us. She simply calls us two days later and tells us we weren't approved and she didn't know why. One Main Financial isn't a company that links you to a lender. They are the lender so again nothing more than pure fraudulence. I personally feel like she didn't like us and decided our faith based off our interaction. Now I'm completely broke and One Main financial lied to me and created a deeper hardship for me. anyone giving this institution a good review works for them or knows someone who does. I just looked into them and see now that they have 1 and a half stars on a consumer affairs website. Damn I wish I would have researched them sooner. Do yourself a favor and stay away from them. They was offering 60 months on a 6k loan with 31% interest. Why? Shady business all the way...."
