"We really enjoyed this waterfall. I don’t think the locals want you to know about this spot! It’s a great swimming spot! Hike down isn’t bad. You have options to choose from. People were down the river at the lower falls, and others were at one of the falls at the top. Respect the beautiful nature spot. Pack it in and pack it out. Be cautious of flash floods. A local let me know that people die every year from unexpected flash floods."
"Beautiful hike back to the falls. Fun watching the people jump. Not for the faint of heart. It does seem to be a party location (booze and weed), so if that offend you....."
"This was 1 of my favorite, "easy" hikes on island. "Easy" in that my 71 year old dad who's petrified of water led the way and we never broke a sweat. That said, this is not for the faint of heart. Footing can be treacherous, unstable, and slippery. Totally worth it. We went as far as the pool at the middle falls. Serene setting, and nary a mosquito! This is a spot that reminds you why you came to Hawaii."
"Epic spot to swim under a waterfall! Park near the bridge, I added the parking area to Google Maps. Otherwise Google will try to have you go to someone's house. We parked near the road and went to the Middle falls. It is a little tricky to find the path, but that is part of the adventure. The water was cold in Dec, but swimmable. Kids had a blast jumping off the rocks. My daughter jumped from near the falls, but other people jumped from the left side of the rocks. Guess there are lots of spots to jump from. Awesome place to visit and I feel like you could visit a bunch of times and it would still be fun."
"One of the coolest places I have ever been! There are 3 possible ways to get to the waterfall, swim in the deep water to the island, there is a cross in the water that is not so deep or from the hiking trail (not recommended to everyone) where you can cross dry, but the trail is quite steep."
