"A Shrubbery! The knights of NI would agree this place abounds with shrubbery that is neither too tall, nor too short. Though some may be too pokey. Many shrubberies are even titled; like my personal favorite, the sausage tree. Look out for its falling phallic shaped pods! No one ever likes being smacked by one of those in the face. You'll be sure to enjoy a stroll on the dirt path. There is a port-o-let a little ways in on the left trail FYI."
"A must see if you hiked to the top of the crater. If not it, is still worth checking out. Lots of neat trees from around the world and tons of cacti."
"One of the City’s four gems of botanical gardens not to be missed. An easy 2.4 mile circuit hike with a gradual 270 ft elevation gain takes you on a tour of the world’s dry land environment from Hawaii to Africa. The work put into this garden by City employees, their partners, and various volunteers is amazing. The incredible Plumeria grove at the front gate is at its maximum in April and May depending on the weather. When the grove is in full bloom it is a paradise. See if you can find the two fever trees."
"Very unique garden with a wide variety of plant in probably the coolest location of any botanical garden I've ever visited. The parking lot and trails are unpaved. The ground is easy enough to walk on, but we had to give up on trying to push a stroller on the trail. There were several routes to take of varying length, but the view and setting are incredible from the very beginning. Lots of birds and critters around as well. Peaceful way to spend some time outside, in a volcanic crater."
"Such a beautiful area. I did the Koko Crater Trail hike earlier in the day. Seeing this from both angles is amazing! Would definitely recommend! The walk is easy, and beautiful birds and other small wildlife are I'm there."
