Reviews of Mokuleʻia Forest Reserve
"Got here from the Kealia trail (takes about 2hrs to the reserve from that route). The trails are actually very well maintained Jeep roads. A lot of hiking options on multiple trails (I think camping is available too). I will have to come back to explore more... My experience today (from the route I took) didn't have many views after I left the coast... Do research to find the trail that fits what you are looking for. (I included pics of the Kealia trail)."
"Beautiful and peaceful! It's a public reserve but the gates are only opened by state or reserve people such I think is pretty lame. Other than that it's beautiful. Of course I'm not a fan of the non coaching toilets but it's nature so it's all good."
"It's so natural and so beautiful. Something you'll not find in Honolulu/Waikiki. It's worth the drive if you've come all this way to see Hawaii."
"Totally cool place to hike and bird watch with beautiful views. It is an easy level walk . Four-wheeled vehicle permit can be obtained. There are 4 bunkers that provide outstanding views of the west side of the island. On a great day, you can see monk seals and humpback whales! A must see/do when you visit Oahu!!"
"Excellent hidden beach if you are looking to get away from the crowd. The ocean is a little rougher but not bad. Nice sized beach. No amenities or food for a bit of a distance."
