"If you have any emergency that needs quick attention you can forget this place. I'm close to an original member. They changed their system one year and I was almost stuck in Thailand with no money. Now I'm in the hospital 2 weeks, cannot speak, and my Visa card was stolen. I reported it online & said it went through but I got NO conformation but several emails saying to contact by chat WHICH DOESN'T WORK. LAMEST bank EVER!"

"In all honesty the personnel I’ve encountered each time I’ve had to call in are difficult to deal with. Often times they do not provide clear answers, and other times they cannot give any assistance/direction. I have banked with them for several years, but one bad interaction after another has left me looking for another credit union."

"We have been banking with Great Basin for over 10 years. The first few years, they were great, but they have consistently gone down hill from charging "preliminary over draft fees" as their customer service calls it, when you're not even overdrawn, not actually processing stop payments, but keeping your money, to the absolute HORRIBLE and INCOMPETENT customer service. I haven't had a good experience here in almost 5 years, which is sad since I've referred several people to them. After 10 years, we will be closing our account and advising anyone we've referred to them to consider closing their accounts as well, especially because the terrible service is a general consensus. At this point, I'd rather bank with Wells Fargo or Bank of America. I don't know what happened, but they should seriously figure it out before they lose even more business than they already have. Seriously, take your money anywhere else, literally anywhere. Keep it in a box under the bed. At least there you won't be scammed and stolen from by a credit union who thinks they can do whatever they feel like with zero repercussions."

"1 star is honestly too much. Go to other banks. They treat you horribly here and Lindsay, specifically, is one of the worst customer service individuals I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with. She clearly hates her job and has no issue treating you like garbage. There are better banks out there, that don't treat you as poorly as this place has treated me."
