Reviews of The Lodge at Kingsbury Crossing
"We stayed here the first week in February, and there was wonderful snow! Everyone is very accommodating, and I really appreciated being able to call for trash pickup or towels and it was brought to your door/picked up there! I also really liked getting a latte from the machine in the lobby after a day in the snow. My only complaints is there is no oven but one built into the microwave so baking was a little bit of a learning curve and didn't work as well as we would have liked and the HVAC system sounds like a tornado coming on so we turned it way down at night to have some peace and quiet. Other than that, it's a very nice and cozy place right next to everything! You may even see wildlife from your balcony like we did."
"This is the worst experience I’ve been had staying at a time share. I’ve stayed many places—the Marriot, the ridge, the Hilton—these are all top notch resorts and time shares that treat their guests with respect and care. The lodge at kingsbury crossing is the opposite of this. From the moment I stepped in the door, their staff at the front desk was rude and behaved as if I was bothering them. The entire front desk wreaked of cigarettes and smelled like an ash tray. Disgusting. Just walking up to the desk I heard all the employees complaining and saying disparaging things about guests including racist remarks. The old woman behind the front desk could not find my reservation and was extremely rude and abrasive about it. She retrieved a loud black woman from someplace named monique who was apparently the general manager, which was unbelievable because her unprofessional demeanor was shocking. She raised her voice at me demanding to know where I had booked my room. This entire process of checking in was very stressful with all the rules I was required to follow and how abusive the staff treated me. The hotel looks old like I just stepped into the 1980s and my room was less then ideal for the price i paid. Given how I was treated and how the rooms have not been renovated in years—uncomfortable beds, small tvs, no Pool, being policed to use the spa and the unkept appearance of the lobby and surrounding areas I would never stay here again if my life depended on it. I don’t need to pay to be abused and treated badly on my vacation. They need to get new management ASAP."
"To be fair, the room is good. However, my vacation was screwed up by the staff here. Upon arrival around 7pm, the lobby was closed and I was told this was NOT a hotel but time share. I was given a temporary key and it was only valid till 10am the next morning. Therefore the next morning as soon as the lobby was open, I friendly went there to exchange the room key. To my big surprise, I met a super rude and abusive black lady in front desk. She never smiled nor greeted but just screamed at me "You should know this is NOT a hotel! The OWNER was WRONG to put this place in hotel booking website! The OWNER was WRONG! WRONG!" She even didn't allow me to say anything but abused me without stop. (I booked a morning cruise so I had limited time to be treated like a prisioner by her). When I tried to ask her a reasonable question on my stay, she interrupted me rudely and yelled loudly "Shut up! You don't listen! I can't deal with you!" with holding shoulders and sneezed at me with enderless anger. Ironically, there was a big sign put in her front desk "Be kind to staff here!". It looks like this is self-explanatory on how bad this managing staff is. Do NOT recommend this place unless if you have enough time to be abused psychologically and verbally."
