"Such a beautiful place. You have to go to understand. We saw a Sea Turtle. Pretty awesome black sand beach the sand is black! Oh it Has some old ruins from an abandoned restaurant that's pretty creepy but neat to see too. But be Careful HUGE spiders here too in the jungle."
"Beautiful location, but I wouldn't recommend it for swimming, especially with kids. The water is pretty active here. We saw surfers, if that tells you anything about the waves and strength of water. The sand really is black and there are plenty of places to climb and just sit, out to observe the tide pools. There is a restroom, but I did not check this one out."
"Absolutely stunning place, especially of you have never seen a black sand beach before. We went in February and was still busy, don't know if I would want to be there during peak season. We were lucky enough to see about a dozen turtles in the bay and one on the beach Well worth the stop"
"We visited the black sand beach around 4 PM, and it was an amazing spot for watching the sunset. The black sand creates a unique feeling, almost like being in a different world. The sand is black with small stones, making it a cool experience, especially for first-timers. One highlight is the chance to see turtles, which is quite common here. The area is well-kept, calm, and perfect for spending time by the water. Since we had already visited the green sand beach in the morning, we decided to enjoy the sunset at the black sand beach. We're really happy with our decision – it's definitely a place worth visiting."
"It is a beautiful black sand beach on the way to Volcano National park. Rest rooms available and lot of picnic spots to sit with family and friends definitely recommend. No entry fee or parking fee. No reservations required and I have not seen much crowd so definitely a must stop place. To enjoy the beauty of the black sand beach."
