The Ocean Course at Hokuala

"First time playing at this amazing golf course, I got the all star treatment as soon as I arrived 1 hour early before my tee time. Tip for you; should have been 2 hours but oh well. They took care of me and my wife the moment we got there from the pro shop, all the way to the first tee. My wife was along for the ride and she loved it. The staff is truly amazing and the golf course is in spectacular shape. I held my own on the front nine but the back nine by the ocean is quite challenging. If you’ve never played with wind roaring like a roaring lion it will surely humble you. It did to me glad I brought extra golf balls with me. Overall; if you golf you will truly love the course and everything with it. 5 stars!"

"The course is in terrible shape and not worth the price. It was really disappointing to have chosen this course over Poipu Bay. I took my parents here with hopes of impressing them but instead felt the need to apologize for terrible conditions. From tee to green it was awful. The fees should have been half the price at most."

"Played this course on 11/02/23. The check in process was fantastic. They give you a bottle of water in an aluminum reusable bottle that you can refill along the course. The also gave us a nice club towel with their logo on it. A+. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Ricky the starter was very attentive. he went over the course the holes the grain of the grass and what to watch out for. The course its self was not in the best condition. The greens were fantastic and rolled pure and the scenery was exceptional. However the tee boxes and fairways were patchy or dead. 1 hole they just sanded, but for the price tag of 300. I would expect the course to be in better shape. None the less the course is very nice and the scenery is A+. Great day!"

"Upon arriving were were greeted and the course was explained to us. They were ready with our carts and clubs. At the first tee box we met the amazing uncle Ricky whom made our experience fantastic. Took pictures and talked to us while waiting to tee off. Front nine has views of all the mountains. The back 9 is all ocean views. More challenging on the back 9. Pace of play isn’t a concern because you need a moment to admire each fairway. Some unique cart paths that make u feel like you’re in the jungle. One of the best courses I have got to play. If you’re on this island and you golf this is a must while you visit. Snack bar at the turn has some excellent unusual lunch options."

"Amazing experience at The Ocean Course. Have golfed here twice now and feel extremely lucky to say I’ve been able to play it. Staff is always very friendly and accommodating. Course was in great shape. A good challenge for an 11 handicap like me, especially the back nine holes. Last four holes are very difficult but have spectacular views. Hard to be upset on this course when you hit a bad shot, simply because the views are so amazing. Overall a great experience and I hope to make it back someday."
