Reviews of Two Step Beach
"A bit popular and parking can be a problem. Snorkeling is top class but water entry is not the easiest. It's a tourist mecca so be patient"
"We found a nice flat lava rock to lay out on and went snorkeling from there. There’s lots of bright yellow fish. We also saw a sea turtle, white and black striped fish, blue fish and more! There’s a tiny sandy beach but it’s next to someone’s property, maybe even their property. The whole beach was packed. Wasn’t too sure but we found our own spot towards the ocean."
"We went on NYE and it was busy but a great area for snorkeling. Saw so many different kinds of fish and seeing dolphins from a far jumping and spinning out of the bay were a real highlight and an amazing sight to see. Do not go near the dolphins when snorkeling, it’s prohibited as the dolphins are often nursing their young. The locals will yell at you if you do. Highly recommend this spot. Captain cook requires a hike but this was super easy to get to."
"Best snorkeling in Kona so far. Very diverse fish population. If you can only come to one beach, this is it. Dolphins pod was there and entertaining everyone"
"Such an awesome place to hangout and snorkel. Some shallow waters for the littles, and very cool snorkeling for the rest of us. $5 parking, very limited on parking spaces. Park and walk a few 100 feet. Lots of tropical fish to explore and very cool seascape."
