"Beautiful. Peaceful. The drive further north from here becomes quite scary. There are many places that the road is only one lane wide, and often, the ledges don't have guardrails. The climbs and decents can make your car engine work hard, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're low on gas. It's a long, arduous drive."

The safest approach is to drive North from Lahaina, the drive west from Kahului is dangerous; narrow one lane road with no guardrail and numerous blind spots. This view is one of the more overlooked on the island and worth going to see, especially if you're staying on the West side of the island."
