"Great time at this beach. Fun boogie boarding. Water stays shallow and waves were perfect for kids to boogie board and body surf."
"As far as camping goes… no way. The bathrooms are DISGUSTING. Homeless people. Sketchy people. Stray dogs. No one was camping there when we went. Run down. basic outdoor shower next to the life guard watch tower. The beach is nice. There are some tide pools with lots a creatures. A ton of washed up coral along the beach. Stray dogs didn’t bother us. We counted at least six. Read other reviews that gas lines were cut and people were coming up to them telling them to leave. We just had a gut feeling that it wasn’t safe. Went to a hotel."
"We spent a few hours there with the kids snorkeling. Don't expect a dazzling underwater world to present itself but the experience of this largely local beach is worth the drive. No big tourist stuffed hotels nearby, you drive right up to the beach, laid back atmosphere,...just the way it's supposed to be."
"It’s a very basic and cool campground close to the beach. You wake up to one of the best views Kauai can offer. You should know though, that you can’t expect much for the price you pay, which is $3 per person a night. The restrooms are very dirty and definitely old. I have a huge recommendation to the campground owners: please install bigger garbage bins, preferably some with lid so no trash can fly out. Right now, there is only a normal-sized bin, which is way too small for all the campers, even though it gets cleaned every morning. There are a lot of stray dogs and cats that rip off the plastic bags at night in search for food. All the garbage and especially the plastic is exposed to the strong winds that come from the ocean, polluting the whole beach and creating a potential hazard of flying into the water. Please dhelp preserving Kauai's wildlife and water by fixing this problem!"
"Amazing campground with views there is a beautiful beach to snorkeling. Book in advance, to stay there could be busy. Looks safe but surrounding there some strange and rare movements."
