Reviews of Polynesian Cultural Center
"Shockingly awesome! Was not expecting a lot to be honest, just not my thing. But… it was amazing. Truly amazing. First let me point out it’s owned and operated by the LDS church, it darn if they aren’t the happiest people. Literally happier than Disney, everyone was smiling helpful, friendly, it was great. The buffet was good, very unique foods. The culturally stuff, was done in a way that really was interesting, they have each place separated, Fiji, New Zealand, Tonga, Samoa, Hawaii, just very fun place for kids even the teenagers seemed to enjoy it. The Ha breath of life show was long, but if you’re into dancing it was amazing, the fire stuff, the production value, overall on the same level as Disney."
"Have been here before, and used the Go Oahu pass. There is lots of free parking, so thats nice. Each time a different experience here. We didn't have a full day, but we're able to do most things. It is truly beautiful inside. I wouldn't recommend going later than 2pm or you don't have enough time. There are lots of things to do for kids, teens and adults. Shows are educational and funny. Wish there was a mini hula dancing sample in the middle of the day for those who don't stay for the full big theater Ha Breath of Life show. Other than that you can fish, learn the ukulele, get a fake tattoo, go on a canoe ride or canoe yourself, you can learn to weave, and have food tasting among lots of other things. The marketplace has significantly over priced things and food, but there isn't much else around. We opted to drive to get pizza instead. The people inside are nice and very helpful. The facilities are clean and there are water fill stations."
"The grounds are beautiful and our tour guide was so sweet the whole day! She is a local college student but originally from California and recently studied in Brazil. She was so nice and even offered to take our pics over and over. Such a good time. She asked us what activities we were most interested in and made sure we were able to do them. James at the Luau was amazing! He went above and beyond servicing us. I wish others got to experience his joy but I’m so happy we were able to! Such a sweet kind soul and made the luau worthwhile."
"It was one of the best days we had on our vacation!!! While the ticket prices may scare some people off, the tickets are good for 3 days!! So no need to do everything all in one day:) we did get the cheapest tickets just because we had our kids with us and we had been before and didn't need a guided tour or any extra stuff. You can upgrade your tickets later if you want:) - visiting all the islands was great! All the islands had shows, games and lots of fun activities to do! I was kind of worried my kids would get bored or tired, but they really loved everything and the interaction they got from the people. Everything was so clean, people were polite and kind, respectful and it was just a happy place! We will be back! The food trucks outside of the center are amazing!!! The Malasada donuts were so good along with the Korean BBQ food truck! You have to try them!:)"
"It's an all-day adventure! I strongly recommend stopping at each country. They are each unique and have hands-on activities. The staff is phenomenal! They are very knowledgeable and helpful. The gateway buffet had an amazing selection of delicious food. The night show was amazing! This was one of my favorite activities in Honolulu"
