Reviews of Lydgate Beach Park
"Only downside is that this park is huge but they have a deficit of wash stations and bathrooms, so that can be really inconvenient especially with little kids. Overall though it was very nice, pretty clean and the little shallow kids swim area was great for our toddler"
"Awesome beach! Nice swimming beach with lifeguard and areas for kids. Bathrooms, fresh water wash station, lots of grassy areas to play. Highly recommend!"
"Really nice beach; lots of open space; easy to get to; lots of parking; public restrooms available. Easy spot to bring the family and enjoy some snorkeling in the enclosed rock area protected from the waves. Beach is small enough to walk end to end pretty quickly. Lots of little spots for sightseeing and pictures. LOTS of wood debris on the shore. Folks got creative and made a bunch of displays which were cool to see."
"I've been coming here since I was a little kid in the 70s. It hasn't changed much, which is good. I have found lots of different types of fish in the ponds when I go snorkeling. Sometimes though, the water is very cloudy and you can't see anything. I think it's a great place for children and beginner snorkelers because the water is usually pretty calm and you are protected from the crashing waves."
