"I’m happy with my therapist, HOWEVER, Thriveworks billing has been horrible. I have insurance and they charged me over $100 per session. When I asked why that was more than the non-insurance rate of $99, I was told basically “well that’s all your insurance is covering and there’s nothing we can do about it.” So I called my insurance who was furious for me because they said Thriveworks is not abiding by their contract and I should be billed no more than $10 per hour based on estimated calculations. My insurance called Thriveworks directly and informed them they were severely over billing me. Following this call Thriveworks emailed me saying they would fix it but they had to wait to give me my refunds and I got upset because they were holding my money they incorrectly billed me for no reason. When I got upset, then agreed to refund me immediately. I recently got my claims summary from my insurance in the mail and it looks like Thriveworks is STILL overcharging me. I should only be charged about $7 per session and they have been charging me about $11. Thriveworks doesn’t even do their due diligence to ensure they are billing correctly and are happy to continue collecting unless the client reaches out to correct them. This to me seems unethical. I have NEVER had billing issues and dealt with customer service staff who are so Unknowledgeable in the medical industry in my entire life."
