"Well, I bought my house with them. Sure it took sometime but the last bit was pretty much just sign and take it as is. Lets just say I had nothing but issues. I was told pretty much "well there's nothing we can do". So they pretty much didn't care. Now I had to sell my house and I should've known better... But a friend used one of the ladies there and it was good for him. She was nice in the start... But then starting being pushy after I signed with her. I told her from the start I was selling if the price is there or I will rent. House also as-is... But it was concession after concession. Moved off island and another headache. She was helpful from the start then it was... Higher a cleaning lady $1,100, Pay to move a oven out, pay for a staging. So as closing went by and she knew she was getting her money... That was it. Didn't even get a Thanks for the $35k .I should of known from the start I should of went with another friends realtor... But didn't. So I would not recommend them."
"Need to fix the glitches keeps making you have to keep reloading there pages over & over again in other words every time you see something you like it makes you have to do it all over again?? When you want to keep scrolling there pages for other listings then you have to start all over again?? Other then that great site for finding properties."
"I'm going to review them negatively for the shear fact that they are Nazis with their parking. They are horrible neighbors to Holuakoa Cafe and should be ashamed of treating people the way they do. They weren't even open and their property manager dog decided he was going to run his mouth at me for simply stopping in their lot to get something out of my trunk. I was intending to let my passengers out and then go around and park properly because their parking lot is signed as being for Koa Realty only. And of course their guard dog property manager was out there ready to bark at everyone because he has nothing better to do. So the dog came up to me and starts yapping, then after I move he chases me into the cafe and starts yapping some more. Fortunately I know how to put dogs in their places, and he found out the hard way that he should probably learn a little Aloha before he ever opens his mouth again Meanwhile Holuakoa Cafe customers are forced to park on the street if the lot around back is full. Koa Realty is a horrible neighbor, has no sense of Aloha, and I'd be happy to recommend any number of real estate agency that have far better appreciation for their neighbors, and for the spirit of Aloha. Bad business, bad business ethics, and bad customer service."
"Aloha I own Koa Realty and I am fairly strict with parking. We are limited to 5 parking stalls which we regularly use. We have over 20 agents and many satisfied clients that use our parking lot. I usually try to explain this to restaurant and coffee shop patrons when they drive into our parking lot, past my "Koa Realty Only" signs and park directly in front of other signs that state "Reserved for Koa Realty". Of course, restaurant patrons often consider themselves exempt and simply park wherever they can. There is ample public parking around the corner and many restaurant patrons use it, but many are simply bothered by having to walk a few hundred feet to enjoy their meal. Oftentimes, if someone pulls into the lot, as Mr. McGuire did that day, and there is some open space, I will walk up to the car and ask them if they are going to the coffee shop for a few minutes or plan on eating at the restaurant(2-3 hours is normal). If just the coffee shop, then I let them know that is fine for a few minutes. Mr. McGuire was too impatient to listen to my explanation and yelled out his window when i approached his car "I'm not staying. I'm just getting something out of the trunk!" I could tell he was having a bad day so stood back as he had his daughter get out, remove something from the trunk and get back in the car. He then proceeded to back up all the way to where I was standing then burn out showering my legs with gravel. He's a little on the extreme side, but I've found that those willing to ignore "No parking" signs usually tend to see themselves as ":more important" than others and therefore entitled to do as they wish. Ironically, 10 minutes after he sped off up the street, I was in the coffee shop when he walked in with his family. I again attempted to explain my position regarding our parking lot and and he began to scream in my face in front of the other patrons. Mr. McGuire is about 6'5" tall and about 250 lbs. Apparently he feels that size advantage allows him the freedom to intimidate those less in stature. Mr. McGuire is a prime example of why I prefer to keep our parking lot for agents and customers of Koa Realty. If there is space, and a coffee shop/restaurant patron is courteous enough to walk to my office door and ask to park, we almost always grant their wish. Yes, there are two sides to every story folks. If you're in Holualoa, please stop by and say Hi! Mention this post for free parking :) Dave If Mr. McGuire had 30 seconds to have a brief conversation with me, he could have used our parking lot to use the coffee sop."
"If you're looking for a great, knowledgeable realtor in Kona, Harry Pritikin from Koa Realty is the way to go! My husband and I had such a positive experience with Harry when buying our first condo. Harry knows the Kona area like the back of his hand and was available whenever we needed to talk or to see a property. His expertise really shined during our escrow as he defended us during a RESPA discrepancy with our lender. He explained every step of the way with us and we were always in constant communication. We love our new home and recommend Harry to anyone looking on the Big Island!"
