"Oh wow, this is such a wonderful school. The teachers are amazing. They are so warm and caring. They are very organized and the curriculum is on point. The teachers also have strong moral values and inspire and instill those values in the kids. Wish I found this school sooner. The children are very happy there and build strong healthy friendships with thier peers."
"I wish I could give a negative rating. We never even applied to this school. I thought it was perfect! Close to our house, newer building, good curriculum. The ladies at the front office could care less about you. You would think giving them $14,000 for 2 kids would entice you to be more welcoming but nope. Whenever I called to make sure the slots were still open or ask a question, I never got a call back. I would always hope someone other than Sharon would answer but nope same girl who never calls back even when she says she will. My husband even called and never got a call back. When I took a tour she showed me the two rooms they would be in. That’s it. Not the library not the gym not the chapel not the cafeteria....NOTHING ELSE! During the tour Sharon made us wait outside on a hot day, while she went into the office to get us applications, I thought that was weird but wrote it off as nothing. Now it’s jut a list for why we would never recommend this place. The church, Calvary chapel is amazing! Everyone was warm and welcoming and escorted us to kids areas and showed us stuff and told us the schedule. The school gives a cold shoulder. I went back in to see how to get the teacher recommendation letters sent to another school only to have another lady with a chip on her shoulder interrupt me constantly, and never make a complete sentence on what she needed to know to make it happen. I told her I was done being nice bc all I get is attitude and made to feel like I am an inconvenience. I ended up going into the church office to try to make it happen. $14,000 is a lot of money to lose bc the front office has 0 people skills. I went to another church who was so overwhelming nice and welcoming, introduced me to teachers and the librarian, tech teacher etc. I asked Sharon what she does in the office, front desk, vice principal etc, she said everything we all wear different hats. What? It’s a private school, you should all have a dedicated job, counselor, principal, admissions etc. ****In response to the reply, poor communication for the beginning of a relationship with who you hope will teach your child, is not a positive experience. Timing or not, no excuse for never calling back.....3 times, 2 different people called her, 3 times altogether, 3 different days. The 3rd time we called, was after school ended for the year. There is 0 excuse to not call back, takes 2 minutes to call someone. We even gave time after she said she would call back. Leaving someone outside while you get paperwork.....during non school hours, showing only 2 rooms in the entire school and not knowing any information of curriculum etc....what did I learn in the tour? I learned where the two grades will be. Never smiled at me etc. They do not come off as being a part of a church. It should not be a reflection of the church, it felt like a completely different atmosphere. Super disappointing, I really wanted this school to work."
