"We rented #2006 unit for $1200 per night plus tax. It was back in the complex so not on the beach and while it had a great view over the complex to the ocean it was cold and uncomfortable. Tile floors, sparse furniture and poor lighting. Destination residences was fine to work with and accommodating but for this price we expected a more comfortable unit."
"Room quality was horrible. Room was located in the back of resort so a very long walk to beach and uphill on the way back."
"Guy named Cam at check in was unbelievably rude and condescending, annoyed with every question we asked, refused to answer some questions saying “he would update us” and never did. Upon booking, the booking agent made it sounds easy to ask for rooms near our other family members and implied it was not a problem to stay near family and to ask at check in. When I asked Cam about the possibility of getting a room near our family, (cause we were on the opposite end), he mocked me and laughed and said “that’s not how things work here, you can’t just get a room near your family. You’re staying in your place tonight no matter what!” Asked Cam who I could ask about switching for the next night and he laughed again and mocked me and said “ wow! Someone just really wants to be by their family huh?” I told him that the booking agent told us it was possible and he laughed again. The place was nice but service at check in with Cam was terrible."
"Everything was great. Great view and condo. Great place to spend getting a feel for the island. 20 min walk to the beach. Wailea is great for golfing or a conference. Stay in Lahina or Kanipali if you want to be in the action."
"This is the check in office for the company that manages multiple properties in Wailea where people vacation in South Maui. They have a good set up with the office and they will provide you with bottled water when you arrive. The whole process is smooth and they also give you a map of the property you're staying on. Parking is challenging though since the office is located in a retail office complex so you might drive around the tight lot a couple of times before you find a spot."
