"We had originally planned to camp overnight on our trip to Hana, but when all of the campsites were closed due to Covid we had to find another option. We didn't have any issues with the booking or customer service, the room was nicely decorated, and we were happy staying there. The only thing I'd mention is that the walls are pretty thin between the rooms. As long as you're not expecting a fancy hotel, it's a great place to stay for a night or two when visiting Hana. Additionally, their little farm stand has some killer mango bread. The fresh fruit juices and smoothies are good as well. I'd probably drop a star for the thin walls if it weren't for that mango bread..."
"Booked through Airbnb. Although it looks dated, the truth is we had a great stay. The place was very clean, the location is very calm and although there's nothing around, it's pretty near some restaurants in a short car ride. Price is fair for the area and knowing it's a clean place, I wouldn't mind staying here again."
"Location is perfect, 5min drive to Black Sand Beach and the township of Hana. Plenty of parking on site. The room was clean, though there was no kitchen sink, you have to wash your plates in the bathroom sink. Excellent hosts, very accommodating. The walls are quite thin, guests next door on one side we're very inconsiderate talking loudly on Skype with no head phones, listening to Bollywood music and banging around. The neighbors on the other side, as quiet as a mouse!"
"First stay several years ago went OK in room 3 with a "full" kitchen and windows on 3 sides...and a view of the construction company's storage yard next door. For a second stay we knew we did NOT want the middle room (#2) with noise from people on both sides and windows on only 2 sides. No ceiling fan and poor ventilation is a bad combo. We signed up months ahead VERY SPECIFICALLY for room #1 that even has a sliding glass door on the other end of the building. When we arrived, we discovered they had switched us to room #2!!!! since someone else was now in room #1. I forget the wife's name that runs the place, but she was extremely rude and totally uncooperative on fixing their problem. I think it was her husband that finally helped and suggested we take room #3 at the price of room #1 since it was unoccupied anyway. Not exactly what you want to be doing on vacation. We will never go back. There are better choices we know of now. Way over priced for what you get like most of Hana. Motel 6 would be a substantial upgrade from this place if it were available here! Our 1 bedroom condo in Keihei with an ocean view was less that this and many times nicer."
