"Units are old. Beautiful location and views. Moldy musty mildew smells in the one we rented on VRBO. I would guess newly remodeled ones are probably cert nice. Not sure if that would fix thin walls between units or prevent noise coming upstairs from bottom units. Pools are crummy - could use nice real tiles instead of 40yo concrete decks."
"Nice location, plenty of room and wonderful views. However, the apartment is old, badly maintained, and it was quite dirty when we arrived. The fridge's water and ice delivery system was broken and moldy, and we found several other broken or unmaintained features (one of the AC units, for example)."
"This was a nice quiet condo. Probably best for a couple or family with little kids or a single teenaged child. It was nice that there were chairs and a boogie board to borrow, we really appreciated that. We left a few sand toys to contribute to the supply of beach items. We probably could have done without a rental car and just used the shuttle or walked everywhere. Be advised there are stairs. So this is not good for people with mobility issues. The upstairs bed was comfortable as was the pull-out in the living room. There are not light-blocking window treatments, so the early morning sun will wake you up. The kitchen has all pans and appliances you might need. You may want to bring spices if you plan to cook. Salt, pepper and sugar were in the cupboard. If you are a coffee person, there is a Keurig and a drip coffee maker."
"This is a beautiful property and the location is perfect. It's not in a tourist hub, but also not too remote from some of the best beaches and destinations on the island. The local beach is fantastic, and the condo is walking distance to two other beautiful beaches. The house is extremely spacious and fun to cook meals in as well. I would definitely come back to Kapalua Ridge Villas."
