"It's intriguing that nearly all the negative feedback regarding this place centers on the poor treatment by the office staff. Personally, I've been walking my tiny dog along the street where this place is located for about four years now. During these walks, I've routinely stopped by to let my pup sniff around and to contribute some poop bags to the outdoor cubby. However, last week, while I was doing just that, "Ariel" from the front desk approached me outside and accused me of loitering. It was quite baffling to me. I typically spend no more than 5 to 10 minutes at most, merely picking up waste that doesn't even belong to my dog and leaving bags for everyone to use. What struck me even more was when Dr. Haas, who happened to be taking his dog out at the time, shrugged off any responsibility, claiming he had no authority in the matter. I reminded him that as a medical doctor, he should have some influence over the conduct in his workplace. In essence, it's way more work to be unkind. It requires energy and carries a heavy burden. The behavior of those individuals didn't intimidate me; if anything, it speaks volumes about them rather than about me. Being kind costs nothing, after all. :) I hope they read this and think for one second about how they treat people. My advice- Take a breath and approach with an open heart. What have you got to lose? Answer: Absolutely nothing."
"Front desk girl “Ariel” VERY unfriendly, no aloha whatsoever. NO smile or a hello even!! Front desk sets the tone for rest of visit with your pet. Will be transferring my care elsewhere. Only redeeming quality now is Dr. Haas, an excellent surgeon & diagnostician New vet there & never came out to introduce herself. You cannot go back with your pet anymore. Had a 5 minute visit for heartworm test, exam & shot. LITERALLY 5 min only!! $175.00. For5 min. Boy I’m in the wrong line of work! Old team of Raynelle & Lynn at front desk were awesome & FRIENDLY! If I acted like that at my medical clinic front desk, I’d be fired! Very sad indeed! Just spoke with this VERY unprofessional clinic staff not to mention rude! After seeing my dog for an annual exam/shots refuses to authorize refill of bravecto? Go to Kauai Vet in Puhi. More knowledgeable and friendly staff. Do not take your animals here! If I could give NO stars I would. *UPDATE…Asked for records to be transferred to another vet and they refuse to do this. Been 3 weeks since asked by other vet! ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE! 11/22/23."
"From the moment you walk in you know your pets in good hands. Staff is attentive and friendly and the wait time is short. We couldn’t ask for a better vet and staff. Thank you Ho’ola Kino for always taking good care of my fur baby!"
"I recently had an appointment for my dog and they were very kind and professional. I was running pretty late for my appointment but they accommodated me and still made time to see my animal. They were very understanding of my reactive and anxious dog and did everything to show her care and calm her down."
