"I’ve been browsing through surf shops around the island looking to invest in a new longboard for nose-riding. Stopped at Clips to check it out and Ken was there to help answer questions and gave a bunch of information on what to consider about the shape/weight of the board compared to the rider that I never even thought about before. Most people just recommend boards they think are fun to ride or other people usually enjoy, but Ken took a more practical approach and gave us his insight which was really nice for a change. They didn’t have any board in stock that would be ideal for myself and what I was looking for and I appreciate how honest Ken was and how he didn’t have the intention of pushing a sale on me. He seemed to be pretty knowledgeable about surfboards and you can tell that he truly wants everyone to enjoy themselves in the water. I never had such a valuable conversation with any other surf shop associate before we stepped into Clips. Will definitely be coming back for some gear. Mahalo Ken!!"
