"I have been in several hostels but aloja surf for sure should be in my top 3. All the staff have been super amazing and helpful. The hostel is very clean and the environment of the people there is stunning. You have fun and meet several people in your same mood. I will definitely go back."

"It was my first time in a hostel and I was so surprised by the quality of the rooms, bathrooms and very friendly staff & people. I stayed in a mixed room and I have no complaints at all! It was a very chill stay! Everyone was very polite and respectful. Great kitchen to prepare your food and pancakes and coffee during the breakfast it’s a great point! The patio is a great place to chill and the hot tub after a long day in the beach is a good way to enjoy the end of the day! The hostel is very close to a supermarket, shops and restaurants. The beach is 10 mins walking. Totally worth it the free tours (always give a tip, they deserve it). I was able to see incredible places, beaches, sunsets… The most important part: super clean!!! 10/10!! Thanks to all the staff for make this experience super cool!"

"Nice hostile, very clean, typical size dorm rooms, nice shelves for everyone. Hostile provides free tours which are well chosen. Make sure you tip the driver that's their income. It is up a graduated Hill to get to the hostel but on a hot day it's gets me. The view across to the mountains and down to the ocean is such a welcoming site every morning when you go."

"My partner and I stayed at the Aloha Surf and it was a great experience. It's within walking distance to Paia Town, let's say it's at the most a 10 mins walk up a beautiful road with great views of the surrounding mountains. The interior is quite pretty, there's a hot tub that everyone is allowed to use, free breakfast and coffee. Also worth mentioning is the fact that there are guided tours every single night of the week. Thank you Jarred for the fantastic tour! The staff is as well very friendly. Just one thing, the restrooms/showers can often be occupied, which is expected from a busy and popular hostel. Despite the constant use of the facilities, everything is kept spotless clean."

"You know a place is special when every time you go back you feel at home. Great location, beautiful town with lots of shops and restaurants. The beach is just a walk away! Parking is available if you rent a car and they do free tours. The tour guides are awesome. They are knowledgeable and make an experience (even set up a hammock at the beach for a couple that were on their honeymoon). The hostel itself is for sure the best on the island (I’ve been to a few). Nice house, multiple showers and toilets and a great shared kitchen. The housekeeping team keeps the place clean and truly were so sweet. Checking in was easy, if you arrive early they’ll hold your stuff and same if you have a later flight. The receptionists were so helpful and kind. But overall the staff as a whole make the experience. They made it a point to include the guests and really all made the place feel welcoming. Every time I’m there connecting with them makes my trip. If you are searching for a place to stay, especially as a solo traveler, Aloha Surf is it."
