"My first ever surf lesson. Though I had surfed a whitewater boat and sea kayak in Washington State. I signed up for a semi private but no one else had signed up so I got a private lesson. Ayden (sp?) was awesome. He was very clear with the instruction on land before getting in the water. And slowly built confidence. He was/is a very patient and knowledgeable instructor- only giving you what is necessary. I was able to get up and ride on my first try. And got about 7-8 rides overall in one hour. Waikiki is the perfect spot to learn with very small surf. I would have rented a board the next day but was flying out."
"The best part about our Waikiki vacation was seeing my six year old daughter surf for the first time. Lonny was so great with her, we ended up booking two more lessons because she loved it so much. I highly recommend this place."
"Outstanding service and lessons! My daughter did surfing lessons with Lonnie who was amazing at connecting with my daughter and giving her great general instruction initially that she was able to get up on her VERY FIRST TRY!!! After that she was able to receive a few more finer points and was switching back and forth on the board quite well able to ride the swell easily nearly to the shore! Thank you Dive Oahu & Surf. Thank you especially to Lonnie! I would highly recommend lessons from Lonnie to anyone that is even thinking of surfing. Well worth the investment in yourself to have awesome fun with someone who will help you learn to do it right!!!"
