"This is the worst CrossFit gym on the island. I wanted an open gym membership. Over the phone the owner agreed that I would have to take 1 class as an assessment for open gym to make sure I was familiar with the equipment. He then synced with his coach who had been extremely rude to me in person. He made assumptions about where I lived, what I was capable of and my CrossFit experience based on just seeing my face. When the owner realized that I was black, suddenly I had to be a member for 2 months where I’d be assessed for “culture fit”. I’ve been doing CrossFit for 5 years and travel around the country and world and I’ve never had any experience such as this one. It’s sad that other people of color are racist. I’ll keep my $200 and go to one of the many other gyms on the island. Extremely rude and disgusting behavior."

"HAF Crossfit has two locations - one in Kakaako and another in Hawaii Kai. The Kakaako location is very conveniently located in town and has plenty of space to workout. The class sizes are never too big and everyone is very friendly. This box really is a big family!"
